So we went here on the 2nd of August my birthday. We have been meaning to go for a long time but always something happened and never made it.
Anyway was a nice welcome amd shown too our table which was a window table.
Very professional in setting us and taking our orders. I had the Mr White's Scotch Egg for Starters. Then the 8oz Fillet steak with Garlic sauce. Then I had the Sticky Toffee pudding. All meals where cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. The only one star loss is down to the restaurant not having Aircon on and we was both so hot we couldn't wait to finish amd get outside.
But the food was fantastic.

Afternoon tea- we here for afternoon tea, we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. The waiter was polite and attentive.
The sandwiches were lovey and fresh and had a good amount of filling. Scones are large !! Warm and fluffy loads of clotted cream too. We were to full from the sandwiches and scones we brought them home.
Nice ambiance, loos clean and tidy.

Went for my Birthday and was expecting something special. Starters were OK, service very good, atmosphere 5/10. Steak huge disappointed 2/10 sort of thing you get in a cheap pub for £6 not the £29 charged here. It was chewy, sinuous and fatty. Doesn't come close to its rival Rosemont. Would not recommend. Won't be returning. Value for money big NO.

This isn't the sort of place I would normally eat, mainly because of the price, but this was worth every penny. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. We booked a dome, which was definitely overpriced at £60, but it turned the evening into a real experience. I ordered a steak and was a bit disappointed at first, based on its size, but it was easily the best steak I've ever had. Recommend.

We had been given some gift tokens for the restaurant as an anniversary present, so we drove down on a lovely sunny day. When making the reservation, I advised that my husband had an intolerance to spiced food and garlic.
We arrived and were shown to the table. We had booked the senior citizens lunch and they had already checked all the choices and were able to advise what was suitable. The food was wonderful and the service was great. They ensured we were happy with every aspect of our meal and drinks.

A great afternoon out. It was great value for money and we will definitely return

Well.......we had a delightful time celebrating Robbies 89th Birthday. The staff were charming and the service was good. However, I think it's been a while since dear Marco has been there in person, shall we say. However we had a lovely afternoon and the price was reasonable. The white zinfandel went down a treat and the Clifton Hotel v kindly did a little Birthday cake celebration, which was v sweet of them, considering it was an extra, gratis.

I am under no illusions that when you go to these franchise restaurants that you'll ever get to see the Owners themselves - BUT I do wonder if Mr. Pierre does go frequently? I am quite sure he wouldn't be overall impressed but what is representing his name. As a couple food is our 'thing' - We eat in various establishments when it comes to relaxing away from the children and work life.

I looked forward to Marco Pierre in Folkestone as we had gifted our General Manager a meal at the Marco Pierre in Plymouth and he couldn't speak highly enough of the food and service.

Starter - I ordered the Macaroni & Cheese and my partner ordered Calamari rings... Faultless! Flavourful! Cooked beautifully.

Main - Medium/ Rare Singanture steaks one with King prawn and the other with garlic butter and Spinach/Mushrooms (with 7 chips each) Flavourless - Cooked okayish.

Drinks were well priced - Beefeater pink gin and lemonade for £5 very reasonable.

Staff - Well - Someone else reviewed previously and stated they just want to fulfil the table spaces and not give a delightful service and they hit the nail on the head. Repeatedly had to ask for our drinks - whilst serving they were totally uninterested.. There was a table that was extremely rowdy and argumentative and staff just ignored it. Someone was complaining at the reception when we walked in.. Staff didn't move the situation away from the front desk either instead allowed it to continue where everyone was walking in.

Have a pop in Marco.
