Extremely unhappy with the customer service from the store and the company. RUDE STAFF REFUSING REFUND AFTER ADMITTING FAULT.
Last week I visited this branch to collect my click and collect shop (This is not my usual branch) Due to sheltering grandparents, I went inside to purchase on their behalf, some tobacco and a store voucher to complete their Christmas shopping. Understandably I was asked by the person on the counter if I had ID which I had to return to the car for. On return I was told the tobacco was out of stock so I was happy to leave that and purchase the voucher. On return to the car I discovered it was a mobile top out voucher (I did not know Asda had a network) so returned to the store immediately.
On return I was told that I had been asked (which I hadn't) which voucher and that there was nothing they could do to get a refund. I then spoke to the rude customer service manager who told me that I was in the wrong and that there was no number to call head office.
The gentlemen who served me then told me he could give me a goodwill voucher of 20 pound which I put towards a correct voucher.
Once I got home I phoned head office who told me that I could get a refund from the store when the trading manager was in and that the store had accepted fault.
We phoned today to check this with the store and was told by the trading manager "we will not be refunding and the buck stops with me"
after speaking to head office again we were told that they had to back the store up (even after admitting fault) and there was no-one else we could speak to and got hung up on. After phoning back to get the name of this "customer service" advisor we were refused that information and hung up on again.
I now have a 50 pound Asda mobile voucher which I cannot use and non of my family members can either and am absolutely destraut by the behaviour of the whole company.

Smaller Asda store with plenty of parking. Disabled parking bays available. Cash points are located outside the building. The outside of the supermarket looks tired and dull,and could do with a make over. Not too bad inside. Good range of products both food and non food.

Handy using this supermarket, as you don't have to experience the stop start traffic to get to Asda in Fareham that seems to take for ever to get there from Gosport.

Working long days you would think you'd be able to collect parcels after 9pm as the shop was open till 11pm, collection machine off told at kiosk there no one in to run the service very poor, called up the store and the general manager point out that don't have the login for the services really! And to make matters worse told there short of staff ( we all in the same boat but this is no excuse ) how are people to get parcels if your services are so poor

This has too have the worst collection Point over you wait 30 mins for someone too make announcement from customer services that there is customers waiting to then wait 15 mins more just for someone too come to then wait another 20 mins for your parcel shocking needs closing down or making the collection point at customer services

The new Management need sacking or at best retraining, it’s gone downhill so much in the last 2 months ! Most products have been moved to the four corners of the store, nothing is where it should be, and halve the shelves are empty ? What is going on ? Either sort it out, or step down and let a logical person take charge !!!!

I asked a staff to help me use the voucher, she by accident deleted me vouchers ! And she told go home and take back the items to the shelf! I asked for the manager to come and help she said the same thing! My god how rude and unprofessional they were , to whom i should complain , literally the worse asda ever , this issue would never happen in TESCO!!!!

This ancient happend in the 24th of December, the christmas eve, at the closing time exactly.

Reviews are so subjective aren't they? I've read other reviews of ASDA Gosport and they aren't good. I've never had a problem. I've exchanged goods, got refunds and pretty much all the time had good customer service. Today I got into a long Put The World To Rights conversation with a staff member, it was all l could do to tear myself away. Brilliant little encounter! Everyone can have a bad day, and, in Life, what you give is what you get. But just don't give shop workers grief generally. Please.
