If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely disgusting service. Visited the store this evening with my son for some shopping to include alcohol. Had to separate my shop as I needed separate receipts. When I tried to pay for my drink I got accused of buying for a minor. I then had to deal with an advisor who felt the need to start an argument and a till operator who felt the need to keep laughing. I was firstly refused my request to speak to a manager and when one arrived she came mob handed with 3 other members of staff. I was belittled and spoken over by all 5 members of staff in front of other shoppers and my son and flatly refused my purchase. When I asked for names and positions so I could lodge a complaint this was also refused. The purchase was again refused unless I provided valid ID for myself and my underaged son!!!! I appreciate there is a Think 25 policy but I'm 50 years old for pity sake.

It's a decently stocked Sainsbury's, conveniently located and has the bonus of an Argos as well. It's walking distance to the main high street.
You have to pay for the car park, which is a pain, but it isn't exorbitant and as it's so close to the town centre it's actually quite handy.

Really helpful staff, it's just a shame that you only get the offers when scanning your own shopping with the device. You have to weigh your own fresh produce and print your own barcode label to scan regardless, and no produce bags - you are expected to purchase a mesh one or somehow know to bring your own - or pay extra for the pre-bagged ones. Some items clearly having distribution issues sadly; but overall managed to get almost everything I needed - with some substitution.
Great help on the checkout section with the scanner though, as vouchers all need separately validating and you can only pay by card, no option for paying cash to help with budgeting.

Pluses are: nice free car park, decent range of goods, helpful staff, an Argos attached and the store is rarely too busy to make the shopping a wearing experience. Negatives are: you have to do the pound coin thing for a trolley and they rarely have more than 1 checkout open, which irks me.

Local supermarket as only Waitrose is other option in town. Easy parking. Great clothes choices and Habitat products. Good bakery and hot food counter.

Hopeless, not a lot in there, shelves low. Needs a complete refurb. The only good thing was the lovely young man at the checkout.

Very messy shelves, lots of items not even removed from the bulk packaging; often seeing customers tearing into them like Scrat is scraping for acorns.
Probably the most inefficient self checkout around: there's always a long queue here and it moves very slowly. There's only one employee to help here and the "smart" checkout the same time - I wouldn't even bother with this one, seems to be more trouble than it's worth.

You would think it's cheaper to shop here in return but it doesn't seem to be the case
