It's a Lidl, you know what you get there. Nice selection, and even nicer prices. The staff are lovely and helpful, even when I went in near closing. The only issues I have with the shop is that it is quite cramped and customers are quite ignorant (rude/get in your way/stand on you). Lidl is not responsible for the customers but I think it's important to note before you go. Prepare for bargains and stress 🤣

No reason not to shop here if you want more than decent groceries better prices than the big supermarket chains. Maybe has a smaller range, but the quality of what they have is comparable. The store is functional.

Super helpful staff, even under duress. A couple of weeks ago, the security guy had a 'customer' (shoplifter) screaming in his face, just remained so calm and professional. Big help from Jamie today with the Lidl WiFi

This is a very good place to shop. Mostly all items are in stock. Though, due to size this store does not have such a wide range of products as some of the bigger retail park branch's.

Good value and the queue’s improved after they added self-checkout. Star off for the empty bakery shelves during the afternoon rush hours. My only gripe is that on a couple of occasions, the meat didn’t last as long as the advertised “best before” date (which means that either frozen/chilled stuff was taken out by someone, left by the checkout and placed back later or because some of the clients are the selfish types who’d leave the fridge doors opened or misplace taken items on random shelves).

The original Lidl in Walthamstow! I used to love it in the old days, but admittedly very cramped and congested. If you use a wheelchair or walking aids you might wanna go to the bigger one in Selborne Walk. But if you like that crowded market vibe, then you'll love stopping by while you walk by at the actual market 🦊

Of the two branches in the High St I rate this shop over the other at higher altitude- even if the latter is bigger.
Maybe it's because there's less oxygen at the branch at the top of the High St, or the staff are unhappy with having to do more walking than that lot down in the smaller branch, and for the same rate of pay. Whatever it is the crew at lower altitude are noticeably friendlier.
Something I particularly like are the isles at the back of the shop full of all manner of artifacts that you either didn't know existed, or even wanted. There's usually something I decide I can't live without and have to battle the impulse to buy, and later dreamily imagine how my life would have improved, if only I'd taken the plunge and bought one. But wether I do or don't, it's consumer heaven to just cruise them isles looking at all the wonderful things that would without doubt enhance my existence until it either broke, or I feel out of love with it. Wether it's a new drill or a patio in a box there's something must have for everyone who doesn't need it.
I know, I need to get out more- but not to the shops. Maybe I'll get a dog.
