Tesco Express

Four stars for being well stocked considering it's a bit bigger than a metro, loses 1 for being expensive compared to Aldi.

Excellent range of items at a very competitive price and very friendly staff. Central location. Parking at rear of the building. I never use self service check out. Love the face to face with very friendly staff. They are an asset to Tesco Metro, St Albans.

Great to find such a shop in the town centre.
Staff are very considerate and kind to elderly.
Some of the public are thoughtless and do not consider needs of others less able than themselves however Tescos can be proud of the team in this store.
Patient. Polite. Cheerful.

This is not a large super store.. thank goodness.. however..

The prices are good.
The range of stock ideal.
Good range of lunchtime grab and go foods. Far better than Subway etc

This Tesco is great for nipping in for the odd bits and pieces but it’s not as large as other Tesco stores, so you might not find everything you’re looking for. The best part about this shop is that it’s open unusual hours and on Sundays which make it super convenient. Sadly the back of the store often smells like sewerage and the colleague I spoke to says it’s been a long standing issue.

It has basic stuff and convenient to have in its location. Staff can do with a bit more friendly manner.

Perfect for me, not to far away and always have everything in store when there. Mind you I have always been a big Tesco's fan. I just wish it was bigger shop so to have a wider choice of stock.
