This must be the only supermarket in London to not have self service checkouts..
Usually only one person on the tills (out of 5/6 tills) and queues always long. Often walk out of here once I see the queue.
They have 2 'express' tills but I've never seen anyone working on them. It's join the long queue with people with trolleys whilst you have 2 items, always. If you're lucky someone will see you only have 2 items and will let you go in front of them. Would be much easier to shop here if they introduced self service checkouts for those of us who don't have trolleys full of shopping and don't want to wait 15 minutes just to buy 2 items!

Great place to grab great bargains. This is a place for mum's to easy cook up a great lunch, dinner or even packed lunch. Very affordable frozen products as well.as other household items.

I have to admit that the manager of Iceland at Chaple st is a very nice/helpful person. I was a bit annoyed about my delivery of ice cream all melted & he was absolutely brilliant in making sure he swapped the items over and made us laugh with his good humour. Well done to him.

Depends on how picky you are with your shopping. I know I am. So, I'm all over the place for bargains and quality. But I have to admit, overall a good place for affordable quality. And this counts a lot more these days.
I am a 'c&c', card and carry customer, as I did notice that some customers are not happy with delivery. [Who should probably bear in mind that they most likely live in London, where any road can clog up any moment. Silence, serenity, reliability, ... you know.]

If you live on your own, this is a good place to go and shop, plenty of frozen meals to choose from.

It's ok but very poorly staffed, very poorly restocking, very really very bad in home delivery. Security is very good though. Home delivery is really bad there because all delivery crates are located in bright hot sunny light area, it makes no sense, I had frozen food delivered to my home, all already melted so I can't put them back into my freezer! Stupid people there!

There’s a man who has been on the cash registers for at least a year, who is really rude. Simple manners, like please or thank you cost nothing yet mean so much. I always give people the benefit of the doubt in case he was just having an off day but he’s the same with all customers (especially women) at all times. Disappointing as in general, I love Iceland. I understand that Putins (illegal) war is putting up prices (some things are doubled) but I don’t hold it against them.

Well organised, always well stocked, clean, and with very good prices. There's always a good selection and they are constantly changing some of the products, introducing new items and a great variety of food. Iceland shops are not only frozen foods, they offer as well wines, drinks, snacks, and some other groceries like any other supermarkets. I wish they have self service like other icelands, because the last times I have been in some branches, specifically this, there is always a long queue and only 2 people serving, one of them was lovely, but she was distracted doing banter with another colleague, making the queue even longer. I hope the shop introduces self service, because the have plenty of space in the front part of the shop to set some machines and speed up the service. 👍
