Review for the M&S Cafe

Always a joy to go here. People are friendly as ever and the food is really nice albeit quite expensive. Try avoid between 12pm and 1pm on a weekend; they are probably short of some more seating space as it is a very popular choice up the Arena Shopping Park.

Good quality Tea and Coffee, and the best of all is having a scone with Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam!

Definitely worth a visit for lunch once in a while rather than every week unless you can afford to.

Had a good experience shopping here and had a coffee afterwards.
Staff were helpful, the range was what was expected of a store this size.
Coffee was good.
All in a good trip.

I called in to the store today at the ricoh arena coventry 03/05/2022 to get advice on a comfortable bra and a lovely lady called lorraine helped me, she went above and beyond to get me fitted properly and all i can say is she was totally amazing. She was so helpful and so kind and i came away with 2 new bras that now feel like a second skin, i would highly recommend that if any ladies need a proper fitting then lorraine is your woman, i will be going there from now on.

Managers and cashiers like to argue with customers and make false T&C’s up on the spot.

Purchased some chocolate cheesecake sphere desserts from here today (12th july) & only realised it wasn’t suitable for my dietary requirements once I got home so went straight back to exchange for different desserts, went to cashier and asked to exchange the dessert and the reason (the pack was unopened & undamaged) the cashier lady who had short brunette hair & glasses & was probably in her 50’s gave me a weird look as if I was speaking in some alien language and then said she’ll go speak to her manager without giving me a reason why?

After speaking to her manager who was a big built tanned gentleman he came over and said that M&S don’t accept returns on chilled foods, I explained that I can’t eat an ingredient within the item & that it’s in unopened condition & he still argued that they “Believe” chilled food shouldn’t be returned, I asked him to show me the T&C’s for M&S where this was stated, he was unable to show me this as what he was telling me was simply his opinion on chilled food returns & not company policy, I told him I know my consumer rights in regards to returning food and that I was allowed to as its unopened & I have the purchase receipt, he eventually agreed to giving me an exchange however had a moody face on him as he left & muttered “I’ll go bin this then”.

Shocking customer service & making up false policies, M&S is a high end supermarket and this is a really bad and unprofessional way to treat your customer.

Lots of staff on duty, but nobody operating the checkouts. You have to wait to scan your own shopping and wait further for someone to authorise alcohol purchases. “M&S” stands for “Management & Staff”. Customers are just an inconvenience to them.
