Such a disappointment. City Island needed a decent grocery store but got this instead. Every time I go in there’s hardly anything in there. And lacking in vegan products. Just one tiny shelf for free-from chilled items. It’s 2020. Staff are not very attentive. Had to wait around for service. Told to keep my distance when they finally came and then told to remove my face mask to check my age. How does that work exactly? Manager on duty busy putting boxes into a trolley instead of managing the store and keeping an eye on everything around him.

I wanted to find bread crumbs but I couldn’t find it. I asked the assistant. She didn’t know what I was talking about so I showed her the photo of it. She told me “oh this thing which you put to the milk” and showed me couscous, I told her that this is not what I wanted and then she showed me salt and granulated garlic. After that she told me they don’t have the thing which I wanted. I don’t understand why you hire people that do not understand English. Second thing is that assistants have no idea where the things are. I think that I as a customer know the place for the things better than them. Huge disappointment.

Though not comprehensive in product range, it is decent enough to serve casual needs of LCI.

Staff having a power trip, i’m clearly over 25 and wasn’t allowed to purchase any alcohol. Not been ID’d for years.

Tried to buy a bottle of wine and I was asked for the id when i’m 27 and never been asked before. Didn’t even accepted a photo of id. Ridiculous.

Look out for their fruits. The oranges I got were rotten

This place is fine after I been treated kind of racist. The things is I been rejected to sold to tabacco for a few times, so as a local resident, I bring my ID basically to all the stuff who works there, today I been told even I know you are over age you still can not get tabacco without Id, but apparently all my friends who is the same like me been there everyday didn’t been treated like this. If they know you are overage they don’t need any ID. Does this means Asia who looks young should be treated like that?? As a local shop as a local resident, I can not believe this could happen and being treated differently

Just the typical tiny Sainsbury that every single Ballymore development has.
Always low on products, but the good thing is that there is a morrison's nearby and you can also order groceries online.
