Absolute robber, make sure you check your change the guy with the turban is a crook he tried to over charge me and when I pulled him up about it he got mouthy saying his shop his prices so be very careful of this crook. They try to put money on stuff without you noticing but I caught him out be very careful if using card or cash. Would not recommend this place at all, if your staying at the holiday inn walk down and use other shops......

In the last two days I was shouted at, yelled and insulted in this shop by staff as well as the owner of the shop himself. And the saddest thing is that it happened over the the small issue which could have been resolved within minutes. Over the time I bought a few cheap tokens from the shop for my kids but as expected they usually wouldn’t last more than a day. I never made a fuss over it and simply asked children not to buy anything from there anymore but kids are kids so yesterday they bought another toy for mere £2.00. Unfortunately, this toy fell apart even quicker within 10 minutes of coming out of package. Now I was upset because no matter how cheap it is it still cost money so I went to the shop hoping to exchange it or get a refund.
Big Mistake! Shop assistant just rudely dismissed me ! Seeing that the argument going nowhere I asked for a manager or the shop owner and was told to come back next day. I went back which was Another Big Mistake maybe even Bigger ! The shop owner even didn’t try to listen to me ! Within minutes he got agitated and aggressive. All my pleads to calm down and try to solve the problem peacefully made him even more angry. He ended up yelling Get Out ! When I mentioned complaint he shouted do whatever you want! Get out! Go ! I was shooshed out of the shop like a dog.
Now well, not everything is about the money in this world, those £2.0 would not make neither of us richer. No matter how Grand the owner of the Brentford Costcutter shop I don’t think he has any rights to treat people in this manner. I have always thought that the very essence of retail enterprise is customer satisfaction well probably for this shop it is just simple greed
I hope you will find this review helpful and hopefully your experience with this shop will be different from mine.

Ordered of Uber eats a couple of times, and for the second time yesterday wrong items have been delivered to me (3 items have been incorrect). Ridiculous will not be ordering again the staff should of called me up to let me know if the items that I wanted weren’t available not just send me random ‘Jamaican vegetable patties’ and Bombay bad boy pot noodle.

Nice little store, people are chill. They used to overcharge before so i stopped going unless i had to so not happened lately, I see the owner said it makes no sense because its a franchise, well it does if you put the money in your pocked instead of the till. Lol good one

Really horrendous experience here. Woman and man are incredibly rude, bordering on aggressive. Feel really attacked after trying to utilise the collect+ service here.

We walked the 0.4miles up the road to the costcutter with 6 charity donation bags we were sending to Thrift. When we arrived an incredibly rude young woman stated that there "are too many bags" and they do not accept those bags and that we must take them to Rymans. When we stated that the website had sent us there she stated that "she does this all the time and we dont". I then rechecked the confirmation email to which she agreed they would accept the bags. An older male then came to came to process the label. Once the 1st label was printed he asked if we had sellotape. I said no that we didn't but the website had said that we didn't need any. He then pushed the bag with the label towards me and said I must take the label and bag away and come back when I had attached them. I said we live over a km away and he said that "wasn't his problem". I tried to show him the email from thrift and collect+ that states he is supposed to afix the label but he refused to read it and said I should phone the company if I have a problem with it. My husband then asked if they sell sellotape which he then said yes. So we had to purchase sellotape from his store and afix it ourselves before we could utilise the service. i would've preferred to just leave but i was exhausted from carrying them there and really couldn't walk back with them.

I am really upset that we were treated in such a disgusting way when we were only trying to donate clothes to charity. It appears that they genuinely hate helping anyone using the service.

Stay far away if you can. Really terrible, mean, agressive people. (Reading some of their responses to other peoples complaints and its clear that they enjoy fighting with people)

Most expensive shop in the area, might as well go to Harrods for the price.
But alas this is Brentford not a wealthy area.
Basic economics: better value= more customers, more customers =more sales, more sales = more profit. They should try it, the community would be pleased.
