Waitrose & Partners Stroud

Always a joy to shop here for some delicious meals and the sushi bar is excellent. We love the wide choice of wines and beers.. and gin. The cafe is also fab when it re opens. I'm a dementia Doula and the clients love their food from here as it fresh tasty and varied. We've proved it doesn't have to be expensive.

Been going to this store about a month now, as I'm visiting the area. I as a "Black man" can't help but notice on a few occasions store employees following me into the aisles to watch solely me. I stopped shopping to confront the employee but another one came just in time and saved her the embarrassment (He must've known) I know this racist behavior as i was partially raised in Amerikkka. Please keep your ignorant employees in check or something that benefits humanity.

We have lived for 10 years above this store and spent £1000s of pounds there particularly in Lockdown when it was a great place to walk to and the store kept going fairly well. Good hygiene in place and had lovely roses etc from a garden centre in trouble so great that Waitrose supported it.
Have had experience of Waitrose and John Lewis stores from Cambridge and Peterborough days so 35years + Then Cheltenham.
Lots of grumpy middle aged women on the checkouts and customer services in Lockdown but allowances made but we were not so impressed by attitudes afterwards when everything opened up. Not really bothered about the pleasantries and especially an older grey haired guy: “ What am I doing here “type that I had to ask one day to at least say hello ( not Bob who restored faith) . Nina led the way on the check out being fantastic.
One Supervisor had an attitude : she would deliberately take ages to come and veto the younger members on the tills when buying alcohol. Really frustrating and I did complain at one point as to whether the store wanted our money.
Customer services much slower to be pleasant even though I have ordered hundreds of pounds worth of Croatian kuna to go to maintain a house on Hvar Island, however, what a change in the last months!
Fantastic training in place for staff, super offers and courtesy now. Revitalised the shopping experience and cannot believe the change. Thank goodness for whatever has happened and management improvements!

Always a pleasure to visit a new Waitrose store.
Only 4* though as the fresh bakery section was decimated with virtually no choice. It was before 1pm

Very enjoyable experience. Good offers. Very polite and helpful staff. Free coffee is back for people with a 'My Waitrose' card, Hooray 🙂.

I was collecting a JLP click and collect delivery and Helena served me. She was so helpful, couldn’t do enough for me, and made it seem as if it was perfectly natural to provide the level of service she gave. I know it was the Customer Services desk, but she went above and beyond, in my opinion. I had forgotten my reading glasses so she did more to help me than her job required, and I am very grateful to her. An employee to hang on to, I think.

Good location. Easy to find and ample parking. Helpful staff and the usual range of Waitrose products. Obviously not the cheapest but consistently good quality.

Waitrose Stroud is looking very shabby and poorly managed. Litter strewn car park, broken signs, buckets throughout the store to catch leaking roof water, dirty ceiling panels. Not an exaggeration to say Lidl and Aldi in Stroud look more upscale than Waitrose!
