Great opening times and friendly staff

A decent sized local shop. It’s not meant to be a supermarket but it does for most needs. A good range of drinks and convenient food, plus cook meals which are potentially a little expensive but good quality.
Located near all the main shops with decent parking.
Friendly staff from what I’ve seen in the 3/4 times I’ve been in here.
Queues seemed reasonable.

Elderly man with bald head and gray on the sides stood smoking right at the front door leaning againt the trolleys, not the way I'd like to start my morning with a face full of second hand smoke. Also causing the shop to smell like cigarette smoke. this is an employee in full uniform

So I went in budgens at Virginia Water. Microwave meals 2 for £5. Decided to pick up 2 liver and bacon. Cooked it for allotted time. Not fit for human consumption!! The gravy was disgusting...my own vomit taste better! Managed to find one tiny piece of bacon hiding under a strip of onion. Totally inedible. Would not even give it to my dog! I will be sticking to Sainsbury from now on. Mmmmmm wondering what a DNA test would prove on this ....mmmmmm

Good selection of basic and some not so basic goods. Wine and beers are 👍. Very friendly guy on the till...so that gets it 5 stars!
