Tesco Express

I'd love to no were they get the express in there name . Every nite there is a queue. Put one person on till .they have 2 self-service tills .but if your buying alcohol in your shop. the person on the till . that is over run by customer has to verify your purchase ..I stand in queue .and it reminds me of b&q .I am convinced the q stands for wot it says .

Abysmal care about cross contamination in the bakery section, every morning I go there and see that there is not enough pairs of tongs for the whole section, I see people using tongs that have been touching nut products to pick up products that aren’t nut based, I appreciate the labels that say they have taken care but products may likely have cross contamination during the cooking stage but it needs to be a lot better when displayed, no wonder people end up refusing to use them and use their hands or the bags instead, I certainly wouldn’t want to use tongs that had touched an almond pastry to pick up a non nut based pastry, if you have allergies I wouldn’t recommend shopping here because they don’t care about you

Security Man was really rude and borderline creepy. Me and my partner went in to check if they had onions carrying 2 packs of crisps clearly from Lidl. Security guy called us back into the shop after we’d left and took waaay to long examining both crisp packets and took them off of us so we couldn’t leave. He didn’t say a word the entire time and just stared at us. He also asked for the Lidl receipt which felt unnecessary, and took ages to look over that while still holding our shopping. We weren’t being loud, or sneaky so
I don’t know why he picked us out when we were clearly carrying our shopping in with us. Kind of puts me off going in there again to avoid the whole situation.

Very poor attitude from one staff member - Kerry. Why do Tesco employ people this stroppy & unhelpful?

More expensive than neighbouring supermarkets, even after Clubcard discount.

Extremely clean and efficient store as well as absolutely outstanding customer service from Jodie Nicolson
