Shame the cafe shut at 2 nice young lady got me one just as they closed the rest of my friends missed out

Love this place. The usual very good M&S stuff and cafe but staff are so friendly and helpful that it makes shopping there a pleasure.

I love shopping here and meeting for coffee. But am so annoyed that I got a parking ticket for £85 last Saturday. I was in the shop the whole time and was about fifteen minutes over. I met my brother and wife. We queued first time for twenty minutes, chatted then I queued another 25 minutes for coffee then queued again to pay for shopping. The staff in cafe were extremely slow with large queues waiting. Chatting far too long to each other. Then to get a parking charge is an insult. I would like a reply from the manager please. Very annoyed!;

I would like to compliment and thank the gentleman who assisted me this morning.
I had about half a dozen items in my basket and went to queue at a till. This gentleman came over to me looked at my basket and took me through the self service section, actually scanning each item for me. He was very pleasant and jovial, unfortunately I forgot to look at his name badge, but it was around 09.15. His customer service was brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed our short chat. Thank you very much. This restores one’s faith in human nature.

Use this store regularly and it's normally good, however went in on Friday the 21st of January 2022 at around 6:45 Pm. Had to wait for the nearest shop assistant to finish his personal conversation with a friend before he could come over to authorise the purchase of some wine. He came over, didn't even acknowledge me in anyway, flashed his pass under the scanner and went back to his conversation. I actually went over to him to tell him how I felt as I could not believe how rude he had been. There are other reviews on here with similar experiences. M&S need to review their customer service policy/training, it's not the cheapest of stores so they need to excel in other areas. Rude beyond belief.

Lovely clean store, beside the canal, great parking, nice cafe. Top quality food, cheaper than Morrisons and Coop. Plenty of Staff and very friendly, service is excellent.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with the manager at this store. I asked her for help to find something and she told me to ask someone else because she was too busy. I wouldn't normally mind that, however it was the way she said it that made me upset. She then was rude to another customer while I was in the store. Definitely won't be going back there and wouldn't recommend it either!
