Tesco Express

A handy addition to Taunton High Street but nothing special. A reasonable selection of food given the quirky shape of the store. Car park at the rear is a nice bonus but it is often full, perhaps with people taking advantage as there are always more cars in the car park than people in the store.

For an urban store, they have quite a large inventory. Decent prices. Self checkout. Booze, munchies, as well as real meals available. Clean.

Never used this store before, my partner was made to feel like a criminal by the security guard that appeared to be trailing him around the store and when I went to purchase alcohol the till girl had to ask for assistance as the duty staff was busy chatting with a friend. When he was she came over she was clearly not happy at the interruption and when I produced my ID for my purchase she felt compelled to check both sides of my newly replaced license despite my Dob (both my partner and I are nearing 30)being clearly printed on the front. Then when the till crashed she did not appear happy at being requested to get a manual copy of my receipt since the machine stated it was still processing my card details. The whole experience is not what I would expect from a company of Tesco's reputation. I am most disgusted and will be sharing this on other public media forms

my father got trapped under an old womans trolley and he still isn't at home. i fear he has been taken hostage by the trolley who might also be my gran. can i have voucher for free milk please milk is the only thing that will restore my father back to his original form. enclosed is an image of my father drinking the supposed milk that will soon restore him back to a mortal form that picture is real thats me in the bg pls help me tesco

I thought they close at 10pm but when I was going to shop earlier they was already closed by 9:30pm so what's the point of saying it closing at 10pm when it doesn't?

Really disappointed this morning with the staff working, one young lad, a middle aged women behind the counter and a young girl with black hair in a pony tail.. An elderly gentleman, who is hearing impaired and cannot speak and regularly goes into the Tesco, was in there trying to communicate that he needed help. Once he left, all 4 members of staff we're laughing at him and saying it's a 'scam' and he pretends to be deaf and it was all for benefits. I had to remind them that they work in Customer Service and in front of the public and I could hear everything nasty they we're saying. Now I see this gentleman everyday, and he always waves at me to say hello and there is no way its an 'act or scam'. Generally I have no complaints about this Tesco, but after this morning, their Manager or the over heads at Tesco need to advise their staff of the discrimination act for disabilities within the work place. So very disgusted and disappointed - as if this elderly gentleman doesn't struggle enough, having people laugh and say awful things in his local super market will just top it off.

Great early opening on a Saturday morning so I could get my snacks before a long journey. Young chap was very polite.
Edit: use of Clubcard to get discount on tub of biscuits is fab.
