Lidl

I love Lidl and it's prices. It is good to be able to get good quality food at low prices. We went in the afternoon on a Saturday, which is definitely the wrong time to go. The freezers had been totally wiped out. Shame they didn't refill them,but they were very busy. When I went to the till I was asked if I had the Lidl app on my phone. Well I didn't know anything about it. Did ask for some information but was told just to look it up. I know he was busy but maybe he could've taken 2minutes to explain. Good job I'm very good with technology and was able to get it on my phone. Had to delete it and then put it back on for it to work. Be interesting to see how it works.

The shop is very inaccessible on foot or by bicycle. The road crossing points are busy, have fast traffic, cross more than one lane in some cases and are dangerous. At the end of the cycle path cyclists are directed back on to the road at a dangerous junction before entering the car park. For a big family shop this is good place to go by car, but if you don't want to drive I would suggest going elsewhere.

Love lidl except that they are always running out of things on the shelf and if you go after work on any day most things have gone and you end up going to sainsbury's anyway to get the rest of your shopping 🤬

I go here instead of Sainsburys now.
Yes, there isn't everything. Yes, many items have strangely similar names to well known brands and Yes, I drift around the central special offer goods isle, like a zombie, to try and justify a use and reason to purchase the wonderous items on offer.
But mainly, its better value these days, more checkouts open and frankly, it is what it is, not trying to be something it cant live up to be. (unlike the local sainsburys)

Visited for first time today very inspiring store good stock and clean and tidy good quality and price range will be visiting again soon politeness of staff excellent

Fresh produce can be disappointing. Lots of empty shelves across the store if you shop later in the day. I managed to fill a trolley, but couldn't get basics like potatoes and garlic (7pm on a Monday evening).

Not great,if you happen to be on your own with a big shop to do,the checkout staff still chuck your goods through fast and aren't friendly,but most of the packing shelf on the day was obstructed too.
Sold out of toilet rolls on my visit like we were back in 2020.

Lidl is great. Very good quality and price. Check out the weekly promotions as they add cool.stuff all the time. If you see anything you like, get it, once its gone, its gone. These pics from the Spanish promo 2 weeks ago.
