Town Taxi Blackburn

Came up from London with my daughter to buy a car from a place in Rishton No idea where we were when we got to Blackburn Station Black cab driver was AMAZING!!!!! When we got to the car yard it looked like the place was closed so the driver waited until he knew we were safe. He also gave us directions to the M6. What a lovely, caring bloke! Women travellers can feel safe in Blackburn, thank you so much

Another time when we were waiting half an hour, had to call them twice, asking where's the taxi because we're outside with little baby in pram while freezing cold, they're saying it will be there in minutes then we had to wait another 15 minutes. Then the driver takes the longest and most complicated route, meter adds money even when taxi stops in traffic, for the route we always pay £5 one driver takes £6.80, also when we stop at the address the meter says £6.70, but before we got pram sorted (driver didn't help, so took a minute), meter was already on £6.80. As had a tenner, driver just took £6.80, when I said it was 10p less when we stopped, he said this is the price now. Wouldn't recommend to anyone

Absolute train wreck of a company. Ordered a taxi from Audley with some shopping, and after ten minute I called them asking why they weren’t here and they said they’d be there soon. So I sat out there and waited, in the freezing rain, when I’m already ill, hence me ordering a taxi and not walking, and after another half an hour called again and he simply said call someone else. Absolutely stupid, beyond words. Lost an entire family of customers that use thier taxis three times a week. Recommend Arcade. Much better, and not as rude on the phone.

Very polite & friendly service. Helped my Dad with his wheelchair which was greatly appreciated. Taxi arrived early too! Thank you.

Booked as a PRIVATE HIRE BOOKING over the phone as per regulations, from Tenpin to Clayton Brook. With the driver starting to drive to Clayton Le Moors - I realise this and tell him he is going the wrong way. To his credit he turned back and went back to Peel Park, reset the meter and on we go. Sadly the driver decided to go via Mellor, Salmsbury and then onto the M6, when all he simply needed to do was stay on the M65. The meter was an astounding £33. I phoned two other Blackburn firms and they quoted 19-20 meter fare. I phone Town to complain and I was simply told that the fare was because it was a Black Cab that picked me up. This is sheer NONSENSE as it was a telephone booking via the office and NOT hailed from the street - therefore a private hire job. The resolution? The office begrudgingly offered me a discount in future. Sadly I don't live in Blackburn and would much rather have my overpriced fare difference returned. AVOID.

Very good service I had a wheelchair they arrived within 10 minutes every time I rang, and reasonable price ,not like everyone says that they are expensive cheaper than the wheelchair access arranged by private hire taxi's
