I called A1 Taxis to pick up myself and my dog. We got a taxi within 10 minutes which was amazing. They couldn’t have been more accommodating and our driver was really respectful. I understand that transporting a dog isn’t the norm but the service provided by A1 Taxi’s was exemplary.

Reasonably priced fare. Driver arrived at time booked. Clean car with nice relaxed drive to station. General chit chat during journey. Have saved their number to use again. Good first experience

We've pre-booked airport transfer few days in advance, on the day taxi arrived 10 min late and without an option to pay on card (although we were told we could pay with card when booking), so we had to stop off at a cash point on the way. Disappointing service, won't use them again.

Booked to take my partner to Berkhamsted train station for 06:20, hadn’t showed up by 06:33 so I had to take him in the car instead. Absolute joke, avoid at all costs.

Don’t take cards! Stopped for cash at a machine that charged £1.99 and then was charged £7 by the driver for a 4 minute trip. Feeling ripped off

Aggressive, dangerous and extortionate. Actually had to pull the handbrake on a drivers car tonight. £4.50 for the first mile, we hadn’t gone half a mile and he was at £6.10. Told him to stop and he sped off back to where we came from. Absolute thief preying on people with extortionate fares. Met his match tonight but doubt he’s learned a lesson. Will be taking this up further with the licensing agents. Avoid a Blue Skoda, reg number WF65 FZV, badge number 76569

After being stranded by CabCo at 4am for an airport journey, A1 Taxi was the only company that even answered the phone to me. Ishtiaq Ahmed saved us from missing our 6am flight that morning and we couldn't be more grateful to him for agreeing to pick us up on his way back from another airport run and getting us to Heathrow very promptly. He was professional and very understanding - we will be using A1 a lot more often after this experience. Highly recommended!

Taxi driver arrived on time, asked for more money than quoted when booked the taxi. The driver called the call handler with phone on speaker and asked did you quote lady price? The man said no I didn't and I am sat there listening. So disappointed instead of admitting he had made a mistake he lied! No fault of the driver but dishonest call handler
