A1 Taxis Oxford

Called and asked if I could prebook a taxi. Guy said it was better to just call when I was ready. I told him I needed to have the taxi waiting as I needed to move quickly from one meeting to another. He said it was better to call when I was ready, so I told him I would contact another taxi company.

Called a cab for a friend and was told it would come in 10 minutes. Phoned 20 minutes later and was told the driver was on his way and would be with us "shortly". An hour later the cab still hadn't arrived. At this point I drove my friend home myself. The cab never turned up or got in touch - we would have waited all night if we had relied on them. Will never be using this firm again.

Never again! Booked a taxi online for the next day at 5:45am. When I didn't receive a confirmation via email after a few hours, I called and they confirmed they had my booking. Then later I got an email telling me to call and confirm the availability of a driver half an hour before my booking. The next day at 5:15am I called and got told they don't work this early... then why not tell me the day before when I called??

Royal cars showed up 10min after I called, would recommend them!

Nice driver who picked me and my gf up in Oxford as we missed the last S1 bus back to Eynsham after being in London and just got off the Oxford Tube. However we did feel slightly unsafe as the driver we had was trying not to fall asleep, waving his head back and forth, speech was slurred too!

Was going to use twice due to first driver being a great ride. I really enjoyed it. I had to cancel second day due to alternative transport and I had a gentleman calling me a "waste of space and waste of time". Completely changed my view on the company.

Never again! Worst experience in my life with a taxi.
No one can speak good English.

The most overpriced taxi to ever exist. Unbelievable prices... £90 for a 30 mile trip! Disgusting that they can even get away with charging that price

The driver told me that, quote: "You should always check where the HELL you're going before asking for a taxi" just after he starting moving. I literally gave him the right address the second I got in the car and I was nothing but respectful to him. I was shocked and didn't know what to do or even say. What did I just hear??? Why?? I had no time as I needed to get to the destination as soon as possible so I couldn't call the police or their agency. Horrible service.
