Fantastic experience. Leo was fantastic, very knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions easily enough. The experience lasts about 45 minutes in total and includes a boat ride through a tunnel (be wary if you are claustrophobic). There are 106 steps which aren't too bad. It is probably best thing is to take your time and use the hand rails and if you are over 5ft 10 you may need to duck your head!
Would definitely recommend a visit

An interesting experience down the flight of stairs, onto the boat and through the narrow tunnels. Not much to see but the tour guide did his best to try and make it interesting for us. The stop over whilst the boats change hands was quite underwhelming. If it was cheaper, I'd have been more impressed but at £17pp, you can spend your money better elsewhere. Just a reminder, this is not for claustrophobic people!

A very good experience but they need to review the ticket prices. They are actually expensive but if you don't want to go into the cave you can or if someone in your group have phobia for enclosed areas. They can go over the hill and can do some tracking right onto the Winnats pass.

Very nice place, good and interesting time with kids. Special thanks to guide ALEX, he made our journey superb. You can get tickets in kiost or book online. Be aware its not the best network in those areas. Overall if you visiting those areas highly recommend :)

I decided to take my family here for a day trip here and it was an amazing experience. It was a an insanely warm day, but it was a very cool and refreshing 9 degrees underground. There were a lot of steps down to the boat tour, so would make sure anyone you take with you is well equipped to deal with them and would recommend taking a jacket and decent shoes on your trip here. Overall it is worth the trip and the money, even if the tour guides are a little cringe.

An interesting little tour of an old lead mine. Great part is there's not much walking - because it's by boat!
But there is a steep flight of over 100 steps down to the boat. And it's definitely not for people with claustrophobia - one poor guy on our tour had a panic attack and had to be taken back up to the surface.

This tour was great, we only had time to do one cavern, and there is 4 pretty much next to eachother here, but we're so glad we chose this one.
It's a super unique experience taking a boat through the cave, and the natural cave at the end was also really cool. The mix of man made mine and natural also was a nice mix.
The tour guide was fantastic, I unfortunately can't remember his name, I'm sure he gave the classic anecdote of "if you liked this tour my name is... and if you didn't it's...". He made us laugh and taught us a lot, super friendly guy who made the experience even better.
Definitely worth a visit for anyone planning to visit the area.
My pictures and others online don't do this place justice, just trust and visit, it's worth it.

A fascinating place to visit to explore some of the hidden local history of the Peak District.

The tour takes place by boat, and hard hats are understandably required (especially for the taller traveller) as the ceilings in many places are low, and knocks to the head are likely.

The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and engaging, and made the experience of traversing the tight confines of the cavern both interesting and diverting, which should be a reassurance to anyone who suffers from claustrophobia.

Well worth a visit, though it's advisable to bring waterproof coats and boots.
