There is car parking for a few cars which is free.
Its actually a really good ruin to explore even tho it will not take you much more than 20 or so minutes to get around it all, its also right next to the dam which looks pretty good too. Kids will love it here, .
Also some decent walks you can take from the ruins.

Great for a picnic but there's no public toilets, you have to use the ones up at the Dams Viewing area.

Historic place to visit. With some good imagination you can picture how it used to be before the buildings were lost.

Very nice setting just below the dam. A few ruins her and interesting to see where the old mine buildings were. Go down to the car park and venture across the beautiful little bridge, you'll see the river meandering below. Nice spot for a picnic

Interesting place to visit whilst in the area. A bit of parking and a nice little walk. Plenty of information there on what it was like to work there.

Lovely bit of history. Very informative boards around what the buildings were for and which area is which. Also great to have free parking and the dam is magnificent. There are many walks to enjoy around the area

It is signposted on the right of the road, but we missed and over-shot. Parking was tight when we visited. Pretty muddy walk over to the small ruins, and not a lot of info there. I wouldn't say it's an essential stop but nice place to stretch your legs for half hour then move on.

Bryntail Lead Mine opened in 1708, closing in 1884, and is situated below Clywrdog reservoir/dam opened in 1967. Amazing sight....There are many walks around this area that would suit different levels of walkers. Glyndwr's Way goes through the site. Dogs are allowed on leads and the site is free to visit, but there are no amenities here.
We also drove to the top of the dam to view the lake above. Well worth doing. The views are tremendous. We then drove all around the lake....615 acres in total....which is quite a distance. It is situated on the head waters of the river Severn. There are many places to stop and enjoy the views.
