A great wetland site with something for everyone, from solitary birders to busy parents with children to amuse.
The collected species include a flock of comic-pink flamingos as well as the rare Hawaiian goose or Nene.
The Millennium Wetland is a service station for flocks of migratory waders. Hundreds of black-tailed godwits were in today, speed-feeding in the shallow lagoons.
Well worth at least one visit and, for regular birders, a seasonal trip.

A lovely place to visit. The place is huge. Loads of ducks to feed so buy a few bags. Not cheap at £1.50 but is a good cause you are supporting. Lots of different ducks to see and they will follow you for more food!! Haha was fun. There are 2 parts one the sucks and the other the reserve which is a lovely long walk around the reserve. You do need a good day there. Wasn't too busy. Cafe overlooked pond and you could watch birds feeding on the feeders. Cafe a little pricey but the food is lovely they have on offer. Also have a shop on sight again a bit pricey but lovely stuff in there. A good day. I would go back again but get there earlier and take a picnic.

We had a lovely day at the Wet lands. Plenty of different birds to see, including flamingoes and plenty of open space and walks to keep you busy. The lego model trail which is a temporary exhibit is well worth a look. The only reason I've given a 4 is the cafe, the frappe and milkshake we ordered were thin and warm, suggesting that they were over blended and the customer service was lacking. The rest of the staff were super helpful and friendly.

Fantastic place, took my little one there and completed the Lego trail, she loved all the different birds and the adventure/explore areas.

Kids loved it and so did we. Lots of interaction with animals. Gease were so tame that they came and ate out of our hands.
Lovely to see flamingos too.
Each section has its own huge Lego animal at the entrance. There are small play grounds for the children and lots of climbing and balancing opportunities.

Different ways to find out more and learn about the species at the centre and around as.

Wish we had time to spend longer there but we had to find a park up for the night so had to leave.

Unfortunately the interactive water feature wasn't in use at the time we visited due to the on going drought in the area, it didn't spoil our day but it would be nice to visit again and have a go as it definitely looked worth doing.

Will definitely visit again next time we are in Wales and highly recommend it with kids who like to run around.

An amazing place to explore with or without children. We regularly visit with our children and enjoy exploring different areas. On this particular visit we were following the different story routes and even got stuck in building a den in the woodland area.

Wonderful place. There is 2 areas. Free birds wetland. And captive birds. The free wetland has 3/4 hides and lots of viewing places around a lovely walk. Expect to to spend at least 3 hours at least here.
