My kids really enjoyed the atmosphere there, they grabbed what they wanted no fuss. Much easier to shop there rather than online.

used to love taking ky kids here but had a really bad experience today. Bought a carseat for my 16 months old. I bought an isofix group 123 from 9 months onwards. Julie was rude from the start as i requested to see the carseat first hand and it wasnt on display. She said she couldnt recommend testing forward facing before 4 years old. I said its ok i have done my research but she didnt stop there. she was very rude wouldnt even let me see or try it I had to argue with her for her to show me it. She continued her unsolicited advice in a very rude tone judging my parenting coz i decided to forward face my child before 4 years old and I am apparently putting her in danger incase of accidents. i dont mind recommendation but if you are going to mom shame and make parents feel bad and wrong for buying a forward facing carseat then i recommend you dont sell forward facing group 1-2 carseats.

Ever since Toys-R-us closed down this chain has been the must visit toy store for children. Love taking my daughter here, plenty to choose from and very competitive prices. Can get very busy in lead up to Christmas but this is expected. One area for improvement would be ensuring they have more tills open. Often long queues waiting to be served. They still have free catalogues which is a very traditional but nice touch.

Always great service here, everything in stock. Never to much trouble to order catalogue items from the counter. Clean, tidy and competently priced. 8th visit this year, starting to purchase Christmas presents for my children and we will be going back again and again. Keep up the good work!

The shop is generally good and staff are alright but the till situation is chaotic. Tip: Use the desk nearest the entrance if you need to return or exchange, otherwise use the individual tills (not the desk at the far end) or you'll get trapped in the store with your purchases. The only exit is from between those tills. Even at a relatively quiet time for early November it's still a highly stressful experience.

A total free for all at the till.staff allowing queue jumping ,games can't be found when they go to another room to put the game cartridge in, no staff available.. and the staff told me it was quiet that particular day.

Love Smyths a really good selection of items. Staff are so friendly and helpful. You even get free delivery if you sign up to their newsletter

The staff are amazing traveled 45 minutes to look for a squishy poo toy they were looking for ages and then a lovely woman called rowa not sure how you spell or pronounce the name but but she is a very nice staff member she was on her hands and knees looking for it and manage to find one luckily so I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff for being really helpful I'll definitely be coming back again
