Decent station opens out onto a nice park and pretty council building.

lots of construction site closures in and out of station, have to walk around the station to get to different platforms, going on for years

Much improved ticket office area and information. Area around the ticket office has been landscaped and includes a dinosaur statue. An additional ticket machine has also been provided.

Today(1450hrs 22 Dec 2022) at Maidstone east train station ticket counter office, I was confused and I was just asking a question to him but he was being so rude to me and was unprofessional in his job. he doesn’t know how to talk to his customers and how to behave with people. Maybe he hasn’t been taught good manners. How can government put him in a public service job if he isn’t able to do that job in a good way? I think he has got some problems or he is not normal. I think government should think about this. He has paid by public tax, he should know that. He is a public servant, I hope, next time we will not see this type of person in the public service area.

A multi million pound refit & you enter the station to be met by the absolute disgrace of a staff member Lloyd at the counter being frankly abusive rude ignorant & unhelpful to polite customers simply seeking assistance.
On more than one occasion seen being incredibly unpleasant & bullying to female members of the public for no reason at all.
If he cannot cope with his job or cannot be bothered then he needs to be replaced by the many who would be grateful for employment.
These stations are an integral part of life & provide a vital public service.
The general public use this service not only for commuting & leisure but at distressing times of their lives when they need to travel to the big London hospitals/major surgery & many other major life events including attending funerals. And your journey begins with this disgraceful man.
Whilst Frankie & Lucien are a credit to Maidstone East station, I sincerely hope that senior management are reading this review & will take the necessary, serious & appropriate disciplinary actions.
