Busy train station, great for people who prefer public transport to driving into and around London.

Guys I was super pumped to hear from a local outside the story of Clapham station: apparently back in the 1600s a sheriff by the name of Clarry Clapham was notorious for rounding up boars in the area and dressing them up in ball gowns and putting lipstick on them to prank the locals. He eventually lost his job and became a drunk, but the joy he gave the people lives on!

Huge station. Signage is good considering it’s so big. Small lifts are available, otherwise use the stairs to get to and from each platform. As a station it does it job. Downside is that the Toilets are pretty disgusting.

old station with rude and uninformed staff, but of course they go on strike because they want more money from londoners for doing literally nothing. they don’t know what platforms their trains are leaving or what time. but they ask more money to chat between them and on the phone during their shifts

So impressed by the team leader on platform 9, her care and professionalism when dealing with a male trying to open the train doors from platform as it was pulling away.
Not and easy job but stayed professional.
Hope this get passed onto her management.

There are very few (basically none) waiting rooms on platforms, so you risk freezing to death in the winter ❄️

Could do with some upgrades.

Large, long stations and it’s an upper-level walkway to access platforms plus a subway tunnel to also access platforms.

Toilets (grim) only accesible from the upper level concourse at near the platform 17 exit. The w h smiths that was there is being converted to toilets as the entrance expands a bit.

Usually quite reliable as a station though and well connected! A bit confusing at first

Although It's The 5th UK Busiest Station, Helpful Straff, The foot Tunnel Needs a Good Deep Clean From Rot. Foot ridge how ever gives good views of London to canary wharf. Trainspotters is a good place for them.
