By George (no not that one - he was from Blackpool) what a station! Where else can you pick fruit and veg to take home with you for free on a station platform?? Stairs and lifts to both platforms from the quaint old ticket hall, thankfully retained largely intact. Bike racks, free car-parking, proper brick-built waiting rooms, toilets and even a phone booth (if you can remember what one of those looks like) for persons whose mobile battery's given up the ghost. If passengers were to break out into a rendition of "Oh, Mr Porter" somehow one wouldn't be surprised - it's worth actually getting off the train here on a sunny summer's day just to savour the experience, even without vocal accompaniment.

Really good station, got a toilet and lifts, generally easy to find. Staff helpful and they take android pay too!

Staff are quite friendly, platform always clean, new lifts can be helpful (i.e. with a bike)

I went on Formby beach. And over the sand dunes. Hard work walking over the dunes. Also a woodland area walk through. About a 1 mile and 1/2 to the railway station. Trains run about every 15 minutes to Southport or Liverpool.

I’ll give it to this station. Its nice! I’ve visited this station a tonne and there is one entrance exit which leads to such a long natural(ish) area and I really like that entrance/exit specifically. Trust me, there is a tonne of entrance/exits so there’s that, not all have step free access but wheelchair users can use the station just fine.
