The lower section of the station was closed between 2007 and 2010 for rebuilding while the former East London Line was converted and readied for the London Overground service. The station will be served by Crossrail services from when it opens in spring 2022.

I just want to share my disappointment..
I was at the back entrance (where Google lead me), 7 minutes before the last train and it was closed... I know that the staff wants to go home but... Just don't take a night shift if you can't carry it out.
By the time I went to the front entrance, the last train had already departed...
Then, I spent 2 hours getting home to Putney...
The TfL network has become so unreliable that I’m now seriously considering getting a bike.

Whitechapel Station is a train station for London city's underground train service (also known as the tube or the metro). It's a great station with great staff and it's located at the heart of the lively area of Whitechapel.

Pass through this station frequently as it connects through multiple lines and its one of the statiob on elizabeth line also.

Generally not very crowded even in peak hours (in comparison to some other stations on Elizabeth line).

it connects to Elizabeth line. District line, Hammersmith & City line and London Overground.

The Elisabeth line platforms are really big so can take a lot of people it's clean and well lit.
If you follow the signs you can find your way around easily there is good connection between lines

Whitechapel station has been redeveloped its a nice station wide and big. And with the new Elizabeth line aswell. Good links with the London Overground district and Hammersmith and City lines. Lifts are available at this station also.

With the addition of Elizabeth line, finding your way round a huge station like Whitechapel is a difficult task. One I did not enjoy. The station is spacious though and very clean. It's just too big for me.

Really easy to interchange between the Overground, Underground/Tube and Elizabeth line.
