A modern, purpose-built station on a well used line connecting the commuter town of Ormskirk with Liverpool City Centre. Trains are currently every 20 minutes of a day time and 30 minutes of an evening and Sunday. The station includes heated waiting rooms, toilets, ticket office which is open all day long and secure bicycle storage. Access to the platform is via stairs on both platforms or via a lift. There is a bus interchange outside the station making for a swift transfer for onwards travel. Tickets for travel across the Merseyrail network are priced very competitively.
