After having my car for 3 days it started to struggle when starting it. I phoned the guys up and they said to bring it over. We both thought is was the battery. I arranged to take it there that same day in the afternoon however the car wouldn’t start at all. I phoned the guys to say the car had broken down. They had already ordered a new battery which had not long arrived in their shop. So they came to rescue me with the new battery. They changed the battery there and then and I was able to drive away. The car needed a code for the radio which wasn’t in the handbook. They said they would buy a new code and have it to me that same. They did exactly that! I couldn’t of been more happy with service they provided to me from buying the car to my car breaking down and needing help. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you autodrive car centre for providing me with a brilliant, honest, trustworthy service.
We bought a van from this garage for about 6k last year and within 6 months it had to go to the garage to be fixed 4 times with all different issues and we ended up completely broken down on the motorway in the slow lane due to complete engine failure. The AA had to load the van onto a truck and the police shutdown the motorway for us to be rescued. It was a very dangerous and stressful experience. We live in Folkestone and were driving to Yorkshire we were only allowed one tow so it was stuck up north while we tried to find a buyer, we eventually sold it for £1,000 in January so lost £5,000 on it in 6 months.
This has been a very stressful time and every time I have reached out to Rob he has not accepted that they sold us a vehicle not fit for purpose and one that was incredibly dangerous. We were very lucky that day on the motorway. On the day we picked it up from the garage it was not starting properly and we naively though it was due to us as we had not driven a van before but find out within a week there was a fault. The garage did fix it for us and we hoped that would be the end of it but it turns out that was one of many. I have all the evidence and will try and take this further to regain some of our costs.
Rob will reply to this saying as he has in all emails 'In agree that you have had issues with your van since collection which we always endeavoured to have rectified as swiftly as possible'
which is true but after having loads of issues in the 3 month warranty which they fixed once and then we went to another garage closer to our house I asked for a refund which they refused to give.
When we bought the van Rob stated "you know if its faulty we will just give you a refund, we are not in the business of selling dodgy vehicles' Which made us feel comfortable in buying the van but it turns out they are exactly in that business.
I was very happy with the vehicle and said I would purchase it. I was able to pick the vehicle up the next weekend so I asked if I could bank transfer the money for it the day before. I went to pick up the car and there was a new MOT on the vehicle which was really nice.
3 weeks later, I am still really happy with the car, I had some problem with the air con but Rob has got this sorted out for me with no problems.
I would not hesitate to recommend this dealer to all my friends and anyone else I speak to. They are really professional, friendly and very helpful. I will also go back there when I want to get another car.
