Rushmores and Hawstead Garage

Rushmores have given me and my family excellent service since we bought our car from them 5 years ago. The experience of trying out and buying the car was good. Annual services have been straightforward and efficient, with timely reminders and helpful discussion of any extras needed to keep the car in good condition. And staff have been prepared to go the extra mile when unexpected problems have arisen. I can strongly recommend Rushmores.

We were just walking past Rushmores when we spotted a (beautiful) Mercedes convertible on the forecourt. We had used the garage a long time ago and as they are local we were pleased to buy from them. Not only are we delighted with the car (it is perfect) but service has been exceptional. Simon and the team have resolved our queries and delivered above and beyond care. We have no hesitation recommending this garage.

The team at Rushmore and Hawstead garage did a great job on repairing my car. They did a great job in taking the time to explain what the problem, ensuring that I understood the technical terms. The engine light was flashing and the car had a strange shaking motion so I wasn't sure as to what was going on with the engine. They also gave me repair options, which was really helpful and I was able to pick an option that suited my budget. They also managed to make all the outstanding repairs picked up at the last MOT on the same day too! Amazing service from a very helpful and professional team. Another garage had done a shocking job on my car I took it to Rushmores and the work was carried out to excellent standard. They even advised that once they got under the car work they thought needed to be done didn't and that I would have to pay £120 less than originally quoted! My car had also been fully valeted when I collected it.

Can't recommend them enough. Honest, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The ONLY place I will be taking my car from now on.

Rushmores fitted me in for work done after my car had failed its MOT elsewhere. They took the time to explain each failure, what it might entail and then were able to fit me in and do the work really quickly. They were flexible in fitting around my schedule and kept me informed at each step. As a woman who has previous experienced been patronised and fobbed off it was such a pleasant experience to have such excellent customer service. Could not recommend more highly.

We didn't end up purchasing from Rushmores as went in a different direction on make/model, but the whole experience of browsing/viewing/communicating on a potential vehicle was excellent. Simon was extremely helpful, transparent and clear allowing us to make an informed decision.
Although we didn't move forward, would definitely come back in future and i would recommend my experience to family and friends.

Rushmore's could not have been more helpful. They were extremely efficient, explained everything to me and were terrific value for money. They also provided me with a warm, comfortable area to sit whilst my car was being looked at. I am definitely going to continue using their services in the future.

As ever, fantastic service from Rushmores who replaced my clutch in 48 hours and freezing weather - just in time to drive to Gatwick and see my family for Christmas. Karen and the team could not have been more helpful and went that extra mile to finish the work in super fast time. Always reliable, efficient and friendly, this is the best garage around!
