I recently bought a Nissan X-Trail from Ideal Web cars and I was very happy with the transaction. They're non-pushy and gave me plenty of time to look around the car and take it for a test drive (on my own). During the test drive, I noticed an issue with the air-con which the guys identified as a heater blower bearing. They said they'd get that fixed before I picked up the car, and fixed it they did. Buying a second-hand car can be a stressful process but I'd highly recommend Ideal Web cars across the board - customer service, pricing and honesty.

I have just bought a mini cooper from Ideal and the whole experience was like no other I have had from a car dealer. No hard sell. Non patronising (often usual experience as a female buying a car). Great service- arranged to view outside of standard opening hours due to work commitments. Excellent car too, at a very good price. I highly recommend them.

Decided to trade in my car for a bigger vehicle, due to a change in family circumstances. There were several cars to choose from, all at good prices, and we didn't feel at all pressurised to select a particular vehicle. No hard selling!
Received a fair price for the old car, and purchased a Peugeot 3008 from the company. Very pleased with the car.
Have recommended IDeal Web Cars to others.

Unfortunately zero stars isn’t an option. Absolute cowboy garage, sell you faulty cars and when you call them or go back with an issue they are not willing to help. Don’t believe the ‘warranty’ they provide you with when you buy the car as this is the minimum provided from the RAC who aren’t willing to cover any mechanical issues. I’d never recommend buying anything from there.

I purchased a BMW 1 series from your garage. It is now unusable due to the awful condition it was sold in. Strangely when you buy the cheapest warranty available it doesn’t cover much as my car was in for repairs and the warranty covers none of it.

Well what can I say. I bought a car from these about 2 months ago everything was fine up until now.. my car had an electrical fault, was sent back to this garage to be repaired only when I got home my car said electrical fault, gear box fault and started to loose power. Green flag came out to me on both occasions. First time they couldn’t find anything, second time my mechanic found that the OBD socket that is used to diagnose the cars problems had been chopped off although John did not cut this himself he was aware that it had been chopped off and still sold me the car even though this is a legal requirement on a vehicle so how could he of fixed my electrical fault on the vechicle when he couldn’t of even found the problem without using the machines?. I drove my vechicle back on the motorway when he knew it still had problems. He also sold me the car knowing it was illegal and knowing I had 4 children. If I had lost power on the motorway it would of caused a major accident and I am now in the process of contacting police, trading standards and solicitors. Avoid at all cost who knows what other dodgy vechicles he could be selling!!!

UPDATE!!! finally after 2 years John didn’t turn up at court on BOTH occasions which means guilty as sin. Finally I have my money back which can go towards purchasing a new car but I lost my job due to not having a car!!!! Please stay clear of this cow boy company your car might work for a few months or miles he should be ashamed of himself! and going by another recent review it looks like I’m not the only person who has had trouble with this horrid man!

John isn’t happy I have updated my review and tires to cover his back with excuses as to why he didn’t turn up at court or that it was my fault the car was not fit enough to drive.. but I am well within my rights to update my review with the outcome as this is what reviews are for right? If I have a bad experience with a company. I will share it. 🙂 he also nearly had “can’t pay, we will take it away” out but luckily for him he paid 2 weeks after the court ordered him to...

Purchased a 3008 Peugeot Mid March, original Price was £4,000 but due to the fact it was 26,000 miles over since its last service they told me they could only knock £100 off as it would only be Oil and filters that would need to be done. When I had said I researched average prices for a service at its current mileage, they disagreed that it would need a full service and said they could only knock 100 off. I asked them to add the 12 month RAC warranty on (valued at £299) and I'd buy the car for £4,100. They agreed. I desperately needed a car as I had moved cross country. Unfortunately as I had to drive 330 miles home, I couldn't get the service there and then before buying the car. When I came back to the area 2 weeks later for a service with another Garage, they informed me one of the Fuel Injectors was leaking and it needed immediate repair. I took my car back to IDeal Web Cars and they agreed they would get it looked at, at the garage next door to them. After a week of waiting my car went in to the garage and they also did a full service valued at £277.48, IDeal Web Cars paid for the part replacement of the fuel injector, my car has been fine since. However, thinking back on it, it's frustrating that the dealership refused to agree with me that it needed a full service and only knocked off £100 from the value when 3 weeks later I had to pay £277.48 for a full service with the garage they said they would of sent it into for a quick oil and filters which would only cost £100 max. In the grand scheme of things, with the price differences, I'm only down by roughly £100. But its the principle that counts. I guess my advice for anyone reading this is, do your research on servicing, stand to your ground and make sure you don't overpay for your car. That being said, the owners were very friendly and helpful in terms of the repair and there was no issue with getting them to pay for the part repair.
