Jay and his team installed the cat clamp and plate, and did a major service on my just-bought Honda CRV. The cat clamp uses cable that is as thick as the most secure option of the trademark product. The plate covers the cat converter nicely. I have driven many miles after that and there are no rattling noise. It is a great service, and Jay's team is very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Visiting today for the guys to fit thei super-duper cat converter locking system to my Auris after theft. Very friendly, and let me sit in a car whilst waiting to keep warm etc.

Fantastic service from Jay and the guys!! After having my cat stolen I came here to have the cat lock and steel plate guard fitted and they have done a great job! Talked me through how it fits and were very friendly and accommodating. I chose to wait whilst the job was done, they got me a chair to sit in the sun and it was finished within the time estimate given.

For the price I would definitely recommend for peace of mind that it wont be stolen again.
They also get bonus points for having the cleanest toilet I've ever come across in a garage full of men and the sun tan I got whilst waiting!!

Had the steering rack fixed by Jay here on a 2013 Toyota Prius and am happy with the outcome. No more rattling and at a good price too. Would recommend.

Jay and his team did an excellent job of fitting a new catalytic converter to my Lexus RX400h after the original was stolen. They also fitted steel cabling around the new part and around the exhaust as well as a steel guard to deter would be thieves in the future. I would heartily recommend this company to prospective customers.

I went to get a MOT and apparently it failed because of exhaust producing more carbon monoxide content. I asked Jay what the options are to which he said he can put a liquid through the petrol fuel and drive it around for 15 minutes and test it again. Nothing happened. He then said if that does not work I have to replace the catalytic converter to which it would cost £1000!!! just for the part. I was gobsmacked.

Nevertheless I thought let me get a second opinion and get this tested out to another mechanic. Jay might be right and me having no experience in this means I should get my facts and info correct. To my amazement the second mechanic managed to get everything fixed for less than £150. He even confirmed you do not need to change the catalytic converter and you been conned.

I was fuming and disgusted by Jay's way of using this to his advantage knowing very well I had no experience.

Even if it had to go through changing the part, I found the part going for £350, not the £1000 he said that it would cost.

One thing I can't stand is when people like Jay take advantage of normal people who have no experience so he can make money on his side by being dishonest and making the most of the situation.

Had you been honest from the start and not try and con people to get money you would not have lost a customer plus leaving a bad review. Money goes to people who can ADD VALUE to the market place. CHASING money does not get you money my friend.

My advice to anyone else always get a second opinion. I do not recommend you going to Jay.

I always prefer to support small local businesses, and Mr CarMax is definitely one of those honest and reliable and trustworthy businesses. I will not hesitate to come to them again for any future car needs, whether service, MOT or if I am in the market for my next car.

I bought a car from Mr CarMax on last Saturday. It is a beautiful car with good condition. I really appreciate Jay and his team, carefully checked everything of the car before selling it to me. The price is fair. Special thanks to Jay teaching me how to use different function of the car. It means a lot to me because it is my first car. I would definitely recommend Mr Carmax to my friends if any of them looking for a car.
