I've left writing this review until my 3month warranty expired, in case there had been any issues...there has not been!
Adrian was polite and professional through the whole experience. In fact this has reinstalled my faith in second hand car dealerships.
The price was very fair, a little below market value and when I had my mechanic check the vehicle out, he was very impressed. (The vehicle is almost 12 years old).
What sealed this as a good experience for me was Adrian's last comments 'take are of this and I'd have it back off you in a year. I want your return business. Any problems let me know'.
Thanks Adrian & Team. Highly recommended.
Really over the moon with my car and everything is exactly how they explained.
Many thanks guys definitely one happy customer here 😊
I have dealt with him for years and never any issues.
Even my family go there.
First class service and a fella that you can trust.
I have bought from loads of garages for over 35 years and I would rate Rydal Motors as one of the best I have bought from.
When purchasing I was told the car had been serviced, had a MOT and came with a three month warranty.
5 days after getting my car home and driving it the warning light came on for the tyres. I rang and spoke to Adrian who told me I had probably got a slow puncture and had done this myself. I explained I hadnt been anywhere, only on the motorway. I took it to my main dealership and they informed me there was no slow punctures but that all the tyres needed inflating, thus causing this light to come on.
A month and a half later I took the car to back to the main dealership to have a free winter health check. I was very shocked to find out the front brake pads and discs were completely worn, the brake pads 85% worn, the back brake discs having corrosion and needing anti corrosion treatment. The car also required a brake fluid change. Other issues flagged up also. I took the car to Kwik Fit for a second opinion and the car was put up on the ramp, the tyres removed, and I was shown the state of the discs and the corrosion.
Given these repairs and the cost to remedy them I rang Rydal. Adrian was completely on the defensive, not in the slightest concerned and put the phone down on me. I called him back but he wasnt interested in resolving the issues.
I was then emailed and offered 40% discount on the total repairs at a garage that Rydal told me I had to take my car to in Preston. I then mailed having taken advice and stated that in the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods have to be sold free from faults and fit for purpose. This mail was ignored completely. As was my mail to the managing director of Rydal Motors. When I called them again I was asked to agree to having the call recorded as they had taken legal advice. I declined as I was concerned about having a conversation twisted as I could see they were trying to renage any responsibility completely.
So it is obvious that my car had never been serviced, had it have been it would have had pressurised tyres and the brakes and discs would have been repair, the brake fluid changed etc etc. The garage have been completely untruthful regarding any service being carried out in order to sell the car. Such an awful unscrupulous way to conduct business and I now fully regret ever buying a car from there. I sincerely hope what happened to me makes anyone considering buying a car from them think long and hard before doing so.
