Great service at Riverside Car Sales. No pushy salespeople, just helpful and friendly. The car was serviced and mot’d and valeted before I picked it up. I received a year’s AA cover and 3 months warranty, I chose a year’s warranty for peace of mind.

I would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to buy my next car from them.

Warning if you’re looking at buying a car!!

We visited riverside car sales and were happy with the service we received at the start. We picked up our car on the 18th June and the customer service from Eddie was great. We brought the £300 service and MOT package with our car as we thought this seemed like a good deal.

On the Sunday we noticed a rattling sound coming from the left front side. I rang the garage on the Monday and they got us in at their service department for it to be looked at.

The service team told me the shock absorber was broken and needed replacing. I picked the car up the following day and noticed that the knocking was still there so I rang back and told them and again I was booked in.

I was told my car needed more work doing to it now and the work was done. I told the service team I had lost confidence in them due to it having an MOT with no advisories the Thursday before collection. I rang and spoke to somebody from the sales team and expressed my concern as they had the car 3 times and there were still issues therefore I wanted a refund on the service and warranty package. I was told he would have to speak to his director about this as it was a none refundable product.

Fast forward to picking my car up on Friday night from the sales team, I was greeted by Rob and Shane.

Shane showed me a sheet with the work that had been done ( as I requested). I asked if this should not have been picked up on an MOT or as an advisory as previous cars I’ve had mot’d have had shock absorbers on here. Rob came over and asked me if I realised that an MOT was the most basic check on a car and didn’t mean a car was roadworthy or safe…. So I asked if that meant he didn’t care if his cars were road worthy or safe then. He was quite aggressive in his reply telling me how offensive I was and that I had already upset all of his service staff by saying I had lost my confidence in them. When I tried to respond he shouted ‘ did you say you’d lost confidence Yes or no’? He said this twice as I tried to respond but wouldn’t let me speak until I had said no. I said that actually I had lost confidence and I think that’s quite right following the issues. He told me a normal person wouldn’t say that and they’d ring back and say it wasn’t quite right…

I asked again for a refund on the service and MOT plan I had purchase. I was told this is not refundable. I said to be honest then I think I want to refund the whole thing as the experience hasn’t been great and I’m within my 14 days and actually because I’m a women you’re talking down to me.

Shane they responded saying I was so offensive for calling them sexist. Rob told me to get out of his car garage and that I was not allowed to return there.

I said if I’m not allowed to return then how am I supposed to use the service plan so I want refund and he just kept shouting get out and leave the courtesy car key in the car and don’t come back. I felt very intimidated as they started walking towards me shouting so I left.

The next day my father in law returned and miraculously I ended up being refunded the money. So clearly sexist and thought they could get away with ganging up on a pregnant women. Disgusting service!

Bought a little runaround. No pressure & friendly service. Very impressed with the lengths they went too to prepare the car for pick up, new tyres, pads, discs and other bits even though they had life in them. Very impressed & have no hesitation in recommending Riverside. Thanks Guys.

Purchased a used car last November from Riverside and was really pleased with the quality and service.

Purchased a 2011 Nissan Juke which had some age-related wear and tear, which I mentioned whilst purchasing and the Sales Advisor said they would give it a go at repairing but couldn't promise anything. The garage/service department fixed these marks (all around the boot space which must've taken some considerable time) as well as completing a long list of repairs to the vehicle (suspension and all sorts) before I collected. Reassured me that these were not swept under the carpet and even with an older, used vehicle, safety was paramount.

The communication, service and professionalism from Riverside was second to none. I have had some really poor experiences with other car sales and service providers, but Riverside have restored my confidence. Will definitely be back for my next vehicle.

Absolutely first class service from Eddie and Shane at Riverside could not have made buying a car any easier and explained everything clearly with no hard sale.Highly recommended as they care and clearly love their jobs and I have a fantastic new car

Amazing friendly sales team including there mascot Max.
Eddie was fantastic. Had no pressure in buying. Allowed us as much time around the car as we'd like and test drove by ourselves. Would definitely buy feom them again and recommend to friends and family. Very helpful in purchasing the car and very reasonable prices. They have done everything they can to make the car safe, sound and 100% peace of mind motoring. Thanks Eddie and team. Was a pleasure.

Having dealt with my fair share of dodgy dealers, these guys are a breath of fresh air. No pressure and clearly really care about providing a good customer service. I love my new car and have waited a couple of months before leaving the review to ensure it still drives like a dream. We had a few concerns initially about one thing and they went above and beyond to check the car was in perfect working condition. I’ll certainly be back in a few years for my next car.
