Just sold our caravan after 4 years at Fell End and they decide to take a large proportion of the site fees, yet already taking the caravan at a discounted price.

Thanks for advising me that this was the case. Only after you transferred the funds without even notifying me.

I wouldn’t buy a caravan from these guys ever again.

Avoid.

I booked to stay here with Pureleisuregroup.com. Appalling!! Don’t book through them EVER! Deferred my booking for 2 years due to COVID which I happily waited for. 3 days before my booking I called to explain my wife was dying of terminal cancer and had broken her hip so couldn’t travel, could I have a refund or rearrange my booking. Their response…..we can extend your booking by 1 week! Wow, don’t know what planet they’re from but the last I was aware of someone who is inoperable due to terminal cancer can’t re-grow a hip in a week! Zero compassion, only want your money.

Don’t bother PureLeisure are rip off merchants. Sooner the industry is regulated the better. John Morphet is a con man. They increase prices on seasonal pitches to force them off to put lodges on that have no re sale value.

Unfortunately I have to agree with lots of other reviewers. Nothing professional about this outfit whatsoever. We paid for a year so I freeze for a touring caravan and then we were told we had to move off after only a few months I’ve being there because we made a complaint about the pitch flooding. We were told there wasn’t anything they can do. Most of the pitch is flood so the only alternative was to move off. After telling them we would sort the flooding out ourselves at our expense. They told us they didn’t want us there and we had to move off anyway very expensive pitch for what you get, dirty toilets and showers, no good making any complaints as it is a family run business and nobody seems to be bothered about the reputation of the company. You only have to look online at TripAdvisor and Google reviews and you will see exactly what pure leisure is.

Have hired a ‘lodge’ at South Lakeland for the last 4 years always ‘checking/confirming’ that I can have a lakeside lodge and qualifying which one. The terms do state that they can change your booking location, so I make a point of paying the minimum deposit (£60) and ‘double checking’ my my booked ‘location’ prior to paying the balance one calendar month before arrival. This I did as I have done every year and was given confirmation of my lodge. On the day of arrival we had been moved! I spoke to the lady in reception who stated it was ‘owner booked’ and that she knew the owner ‘who was there now’. They weren’t….and no one arrived there for several days. I protested my point and eventually was contacted by customer services who generally speaking we’re not interested/concerned with my frustration. When I tried to ascertain how my booking had changed the response was they couldn’t qualify this due to the ‘data protection act’! We were told that we had been given ‘like for like’ (we needed one with a bath for a disabled child) but we hadn’t, there was no bath, they told us to go and buy one ourselves (although we were reimbursed)…so first afternoon spent bath hunting. We had lost our lakeside lodge to one next to a glorified pond. Previous years we have been moved but been informed beforehand given us the opportunity to decide what we wanted to do. Never again with this company!!!!

I bought a lodge in May and 2 weeks after I was then told it had been sold to another company. This led to the park fees going up £800 a year. When I asked if there was any changes i should know about they said no so we purchased on this information, we was told that all the snags would be sorted out on the holiday home like replacing the carpets sorting the plumbing out after it flooded and so many other problems. We purchased this as I lost my leg a few years ago and suffer from PTSD so this was supposed to be somewhere we're we went to relax and be at peace but when I have constantly sent emails about the work that they promised on purchase to sort out they don't reply. This has had a massive impact on my mental health and with me loosing leg I just wanted it to be were I could relax but they choose to ignore me still and the person who sold it me just lied to get a sale she does a lot of work for the owner as an interior designer. My wife and I feel so let down by the lies and the way they continue to ignore us about the repairs. I would never trust these people especially the multi millionaire owner who chooses to take money off a disabled person for his own profit and does not care about the impact it has and is still having on me.

Tydd St Giles pure leisure is an absolute joke. Do not have a holiday there with kids.
Pool is tiny, kids only allowed in at a certain time of day (then there is only allowed 6 in the pool at once). The actual pool closes at 6pm, whether you're a resident or staying for a holiday. Restaurant isn't very exciting either (that's if its open). You're in the middle of nowhere, so you have to get in your car to find elsewhere to eat.
Lodges are crammed in and it's just a general waste of money.
Only thing going for it, is the golf course apparently.
Pure Leisure are only interested in selling lodges, but at their extortionate fees, crammed in lodges and continuous repairs to everything, I'd avoid at all costs!!!

Absolutely shocking customer service. Booked a weekend away in good faith for pur anniversary pre covid with cancellation fee on top in case there was any issues. The holiday was cancelled due to covid so we got a credit note. When the park reopened I tried to rebook with my credit note and they tried charging an extra £100 on top of an already expensive lodge. I told them we cant afford that and they said to contact customer relations who have said we have to just re book and can't get a refund!? Either they should grant the original price or stop withholding our money which is very unfair especially at the moment when everyone is struggling to get by as it is due to covid.
