Myerscough (Clitheroe branch) is excellent, friendly and professional practitioners who take great care of your pet and reasonably priced. They offer an out of hours service via their A59 branch.

This is our local veterinary service. We have been with them for the last 3 years. Great service and lovely staff. But the reason I am writing this review is because our vet, Katerina, drive from her home on Saturday to the veterinary surgery to get paperwork for our dog that we needed when we were stranded in Folkestone. Then she emailed copies so that we could get to France. Thank you Katerina, 😊

I had been with what was Mysercough Vets Clitheroe Branch, for over 30 years and had always been happy with their staff and service, until I recently had a quote to scale, polish and extract a tooth from my Yorkie Millie and was quoted £1000!!
Previous to this I had my other dog Bella a Maltese Shih Tzu for the above without an extraction and it cost me £390.
So after Millie’s outrageous quote, thought, its time to move on.
I spoke to a friend who recommended Longridge Vets so I decided to move to them.
So they went ahead with Millie's scale and polish and found 5 teeth had decayed which they removed and only charged me £382 a difference of £618!!
To rub salt in the wound, had I taken Bella there for a straight clean and polish it would only have cost me £108 a difference of £282!!
I then emailed My Vets complaints department, expressing my concern about their charges and they didn’t even bother to reply??
So from now on I will stick with a small practise, as you get more realistic charges and a more personal service.

Very difficult to get a local (Bacup) vet appointment. Also paid for medication only halve avaliable

Always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable even when I'm just picking up regular wormer and flea treatment.

Disgusted by this vets. One week ago a vet missed a "very large" tumour on my dogs spleen. A week later it burst and she had to be put to sleep to the tune of £450. We didn't have the funds there and then and the woman dealing with the bill, 5 minutes after saying goodbye to our dog advised we could pay when we collect her. I checked with her 3 times. 2 days later they called. First words were "It's... from Myerscough vets. You need to pay for (dogs name)" No sorry for your loss, what was discussed, you need to pay for dogs cremation etc. When I advised what was discussed the clitheroe branch denied that they agreed to payment on collection of ashes, even though I was there, husband was there and a stranger listening to every word. I got mad. When I then asked if she had been sent for cremation I was told yes and I could pay as agreed. Husband called clitheroe to express his upset, they appologised for the way it was dealt with. He asked to go in tomorrow (saturday) to pay, they claim he cant pay on Saturdays and are shut. Several hours later I get a phone call from accounts. Clitheroe have denied what was agreed again, instead of admitting to making a mistake which seems to be the case, they are holding my dear dead dog for ransom and now telling me they won't allow her to be cremated until we have paid. I went mad and shouted because the third person in a day is harassing me for payment when they agreed to something else, claiming both myself and my husband are liars, and now won't allow my dog to be cremated as agreed because of their employees mistake and that my husband who is working today can't get there till tomorrow but they refuse him to do so. All 2 days after my dog died of a tumour they missed. Disgusting

The team here are always super helpful and polite. Our vet Ross is amazing and always on hand for us, whether it's a visit or a call. I appreciate not all vet visits are happy ones but the team make it the best possible
