Before choosing a vet surgery I asked about in local dog groups and Clarke and Marshall came up as a recommendation far more than others. We don’t live particularly close, but it is worth travelling to get such brilliant service and care. We’ve always been able to get an appointment and the reception staff are very knowledgeable when I ring up with medication requests. Recently we unfortunately had an emergency case and even though they were due to shut, they stayed open for me to rush my dogs in. Harriet even called the next day to see how they were doing because she just genuinely cared how they were getting on. Thanks for your continued commitment to do the very best for my pets.

Been there for years under Richard Clarke but when he retired and Village vets took over I wasn't too impressed. Too many different vets and too much focus on the money side I feel now, despite me never being a problem payer and insured to the hilt with a good insurance. Moved to St Johns vets will happily travel further for better customer service.

I booked an appointment for my dogs annual check, as we were right up to the 15 month window. Whilst it wasn’t ideal that I couldn’t go in with my dog, who hates the vets after being Spay’d; I totally understand why in this current climate.
The nurse took my dog & talked to her all the way in & the vet called me whilst she was in with her. Very professional and reassuring service, I would highly recommend.
The receptionist Sam was great at explaining everything & made me feel comfortable about asking all my many questions.
Thank you, really appreciate your care & support.

Very efficient, friendly practice. Have been using this practice for about 30 years when it was Clark and Marshall and I was apprehensive when it was taken over by Village vet but the transition was relatively smooth. Some of the new vets didn't have Mr Clark's experience so we had to pay for tests that were probably unnecessary (I think). Then Covid happened and face to face appts were cancelled which was another worry but I think the practice handled the situation well. There have been a few changes in staff but despite moving away, I still attend with my pet. My favourite vet is Katie

I cannot say anything bad about these vets. We are always seem promptly and they are very good with my cats.
We have a new cat and he is quite nervous and Harriet the vet was so good with him and I know when he has to come in for some dental work he'll be well looked after.

It seems my previous review got removed. This surgery did not provide adequate care for my dog and now he is dead. They did not spot obvious signs of serious problems and were not able to organise the treatment he needed in a timely manner. I'm pretty sure they were over-charging us for our other dog's medication too. Avoid this surgery and all associated branches of this chain.

I cannot rate this place highly enough. The staff are all so friendly and wonderful, and when I had an emergency with my puppy (thanks, whoever discarded their spliff on the ground) they were absolutely brilliant at getting us booked in quickly and efficiently, as well as calming me down! I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I had been using Clarke & Marshal before village vet for my dog since she was a puppy and was extremely happy with them. However since the change over I feel extremely disappointed over there prices. We enquired about the price of a ultra sound and was quoted £280. I wanted to check the prices else where so I did and was shocked at how overpriced Village vet is. The first quote we received was £90 and the second £52 for the same treatment!
The woman on the phone was really quite rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend and I will be changing vets.
