The surgery is exceptionally clean and tidy and doesn't stink like some practices.
The receptionist is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and she absolutely loves Dave. She is always very friendly and welcoming. I recommend everyone who asks to take their pets to Walton Lodge. Unless I was in another County with him, I wouldn't take him anywhere else!
After 2 cancellations by the vets for my dog spayed which lead to another season and phantom pregnancy, instead of carrying out a pre operation at 8.45am when I dropped her off, they carried this out at 1.00pm to then call me and advise that they can not proceed with the op due to lactating which is fine.. but the fact they kept my nervous dog in a kennel for 4 hours which was clearly distressing was unacceptable.
The older lady on reception is also very miserable and clearly does not enjoy her job. Found her quite rude, I felt uncomfortable to ask any questions. Not the service you would expect for the money paid.
In a nutshell would not recommend this place at all.
It was picked up 3 weeks later when we had to go to a different branch for the second vaccination. Grade 3 is not the quietest grade. The appointments were 3 weeks apart... My cat definitely had it at the first appointment. We are being referred to the RVC.
Not the first time I've heard a story like this for Harlow Walton Lodge either, a close friend took her cat there a couple of years ago and they raised concerns of a tumour so she took her cat to the Hoddesdon branch for the scan and was informed the 'lump' was actually her cat's normal kidney! I will not be going back to the Harlow branch, my cat deserves better. We were lucky we had to go elsewhere for the second vaccination or her heart condition would have been missed for at least another year. Concerning.
