Just the Next day measuring 12x13cm told to get him up straight away, it was an abscess that had burst (coincidence I'd taken him the day before) agreed and told it would cost roughly £800, dog came out of operation and I was spoken to soo rudely as when I took him for the check up I was told to pay at home but apparently that's not for operations (how on earth am I to know) it was embarrassing .
Within 2 days all the stitches had come out I think we counted 11 stitches total which was clearly not enough , phoned up and was told he must have scratched them out which he didn't and it would be the same cost over again.
Did the operation again and second time round I counted 28 stitches which is quite a discrepancy, was told "but the more stitches the more uncomfortable he will be" as if having to be put under twice in 3 days wasn't uncomfortable. Just a complete cop out,
I asked until the end of the week if i could pay then and was spoke to so rudely like they just expect everyone to have a spare 2000 they can pull out of nowhere at the drop of a hat.
When I did call up at the end of the week as agreed the receptionist was disgusting, she thought she had put the phone down when shouting "ohhhhhh (my dogs name) paid.... Can you believe it"
In the space of 7 days I came up with more money than she probably earns over 6 weeks the condescending scum bag.
Would never take a pet or anything I love to forest ever again. There was a blonde lady who came down from Epping branch very polite and friendly I must say.
Other than that forest are no better than the local thief who breaks in your house and steals your stuff while your at work. Utter scum
The Harlow practice only seems interested in getting money out of you but not providing the correct care for your pet. Really poor attitudes.
I did contact you before posting the review and raised my concerns. But you were not interested. Therefore I posted this review.
Very nice vet kept him in for a few hours and sorted him out . The next day he had deteriorated and I was too upset so my daughter called them
And managed to get an appointment and took him to Harlow branch . She saw a very nice male vet who told her some upsetting news and as she came out with my dog ,to pay ,the receptionist was so rude to her , despite seeing that my daughter was in tears . We decided later in the day that he needed to be put to sleep as he was suffering , phoned Harlow and again rude lady said they were fully booked and couldn't do anything that day . What the heck !!! My dog was suffering and they couldn't help out .
In desperation I phoned another vet practice who told me , my own vet practice had a duty of care to my animal and she suggested I phoned the out of hours surgery in Epping after Harlow was shut . I did this and the lady on the phone was lovely and gave us an appointment within an hour. The whole experience fortunately was as good as it could be ,considering the circumstances . The lovely male vet I saw was compassionate , friendly and caring and my poor dog was put out of his misery that evening. cost me an extra £200 for out of hours appt,
Which I'm sure pleased them.I will be getting a new furry friend in a few months time but definitely will not be using this vets again . SORT OUT YOUR RUDE RECEPTIONIST AT HARLOW and show some compassion to your clients .
Don't bother to reply to this , it's just a standard message you send to everyone by the looks of it ,
Can't even be bothered to write a personal reply .... 😕
Also a massive thank you to Leanne the vet that was brilliant and showed so much compassion and understanding in his last moments.
I highly recommend anyone to go here as this vetinary practice truly care.
I had taken two of my dogs in… one to be weighed for a worming tablet and the other also weighed for a worming tablet plus she needed to see the vet about a small lump. They had no idea what I was going in for and their only priority was “one person at a time” even though it was my partner and “have you got a mask” before I even had time to explain…After I came out and after paying my bill the younger one didn’t say anything, no thank you, no goodbye… they just weren’t pleasant and being front of desk you’d think they would have a better attitude….
