I have been taking my pets to Alphapet for about 20 years.

My pets have always had EXCEPTIONAL CARE from the vets and nurses alike. They ALWAYS have the animals best interest at heart.
The Vets and nurses are knowledgeable, up to date, caring and compassionate. The building might not be the most beautiful, but this is purely cosmetic as the staff certainly make up for it !!

I have to travel for over 1/2 an hour to get to the surgery and pass several vets 'en route' I think that this sums up how I feel about the surgery.
I would like to thank all the staff for their dedication and hard work and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone !

Fantastic - we have taken our dogs there for vaccinations since moving to Kent. We were very impressed by the care and interest shown in our four dogs of whom we are very proud. A short while ago our jack russell was operated on to removed a large lump. Despite the difficult surgery and high risk to a 13 year old dog, the staff made sure it all went smoothly and our dog was very well looked after. We have seen several of the vets and all have been very caring and have not 'rushed' us out of the room as so many often do. Would recommend Alphapet to anyone and can't thank them enough for how they have cared for my little dog and reassured us as owners.

Excellent. Taken my first dog and my current dog Bella here amazing staff and very caring vet. And great medical advice given also. Can’t recommend this vet enough! Good with emergency appointments and always give the best treatment to heal my dog right up Highly recommend.

Alphapet has been caring for our animals since they opened. Sybille, Ian and Nigel are excellent vets and I have been happy to trust our dogs and cats to their care. This morning, our beloved dog Grace was due to be spayed, but I've just taken a call from the surgery explaining that a vet called Thomas was unavailable this morning. When I asked where thd usual vets were I was told that they are no longer there and that the surgery had been taken over! Having been a client for almost 30 years, I was shocked and angry to find this out in such a way. Had I not had the phone call I would have turned up with her this morning and been expected to hand her over to strangers I knew nothing about. To say I am furious is an understatement. Obviously I will not be going back.

Despite the excuses and assurances below, there has still been no explanation or apology for not alerting clients to the changes at the practice. Furthermore, I have since discovered that staffing levels have been decimated and there is no vetinary surgeon on the premises for days at a time. Treatment costs have skyrocketed, management is a shambles and what once was a thriving practice is now a chaotic muddle of unhappy pet owners and demoralised staff. Avoid at all costs

We have been using alpha pet for years for my dog. We had concerns about a few issues and wanted it to be checked and treated regularly. Vet suggested for x Rays, blood test and other check ups for her lung and heart and we received medicines on a monthly basis. Vet said the medicine should help but it brought a side effect of overdrinking and the sound from breathing gotten even worse. Vet suggested to give medicine continuously with £100 charge - after trying for years I stopped as it was not helping and rather concerned about sides effects.
Other vet also confirmed that there is no much issue with her heartbeat though still there is sound coming from lung which never got away after years of medicine.

I also raised some concerns about her back as she was finding it uncomfortable to walk from time to time and could feel something from the back when touching. They said it was a fat lump after check up, and I believed so but the lump was growing big since then and it turns out to be a cancer as another Vet confirmed. Now due to the cancer, we have to get ready to say goodbye to her as she got too old to be treated. I think she could have been treated far earlier if alpha vet checked properly.

We also asked for her teeth cleaning which they never accepted, my dog's teeth condition has gone so bad that she can't eat well. I regret that I chose alpha vet after finding out so many missing treatment that could have helped my dog to survive longe and better.

After more than 15 years with Alphapet and their fantastic vets, staff and efficiency I will be changing vets. It took 5 days before I could see a vet and then on paying finding prices are way more than previously paid.
Would have been nice to have had some sort of correspondence after so many years of the plans for the change.

Although my pets appointment couldn’t be upheld due to staffing issues, my situation was considered and my booking transferred to another surgery. I even had the offer of pet transport! Excellent service.

took our cat in for a full check up as she is not being herself and has lost 0.5kg recently, Vet said she is perfectly fine, they didnt even run a blood test. So apparently its normal for cats to lose 10% of their body weight, Unbelievable! we mentioned her back leg seems to be uncomfortable and vet failed to check the muscles with the excuse that cat was tensed. absolute waste of time and money.
