Vets4Pets Canterbury

My 8 month old ragdoll had his neutering done here today and the staff were absolutely lovely. We'd left it longer due to Floki having a potential murmur that was picked up when he was 3 months old and came back and were told everything had now cleared up and the surgery could now go ahead.

He was fussed over and loved on by the nurses which I am sure he would have loved. All in all, we had a wonderful experience at Vets4Pets in Wincheap and would use their services again in future.

I’ve had only a handful of conversations with the staff at this establishment. There is one female vet I’ve dealt with just in passing and she is compassionate and very caring happy to answer questions and the same goes for one of the receptionists. However there is a different receptionist who I’ve had 2 phone calls with who is not helpful, sounds uninterested and even huffs on the phone when you ask questions. There is also a male vet who has only seen my dog twice in his life (he’s a healthy and happy dog) both times he’s been rude, unpleasant and judgemental towards me for owning a French bulldog. He is difficult to speak to because of his attitude and when asking him questions his responses are short, blunt and belittling. I have moved my dog to a different vets now because of those 2 members of staff and I feel sorry for the ladies who clearly work hard and want to help pet owners unlike their colleagues.

The appointment was available at short notice, with minimal waiting on the day. The vaccination was combined with an annual health check & kennel cough treatment - which was convenient. The location is convenient for us. A COVID mask was provided for me, as the owner, and I was allowed to observe the vaccination. The vet was very calm with my dog, and professional at all times. The reception staff are always friendly.

Staff are always helpful and friendly. We went to see the vets and they were lovely, excellent with our pets and friendly. Would reccoto anyone who's looking for a vet practice

When I have asked nurse T why I am paying more than I was told (no extra treatment was done ) , her answer was , because it was an estimate. Wrong and rude answer! Hasn't offered me an invoice till the following day, after I called again. If you are taking your dog for dental treatment don't be fooled by estimate of £250. Also when nurse before treatment reading a document TO YOU about extra procedures (do you want us to contact you regarding removing tooth or taking blood test) , then asking you to sign a document while you holding your dog, PLEASE read all document before signing. You'll probably find there an estimate of £285-£600, that you can pay! I also received an email from directors reassuring,that service and care ,that they provide is excellent. Made me feel , that is my fault.
Dear directors, treatment you've provided for my dog was excellent, but please make your your customers are fully aware of price,they are going to pay . Customer service I don't agree is excellent at all. Won't be using this vets anymore.

Not a very pleasant experience. David is very abrupt and sort of judgemental and intimidating. Makes you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Looking for another vet.

Highly helpful. Informed me my cat was due her vaccination. Booked in for next week
