The Vet on Richmond Hill

I absolutely love The Vet on the Hill and as well as using the practice for my own dogs I recommend to all my local dog training clients.

I have attended appointments with my dogs and clients dogs at both St Margrets and the Richmond practices.

The nurses are caring and compassionate and true pet lovers as well as being knowledgeable and always happy to answer questions and advise where applicable. The reception staff have even helped me when I had to take my toddler with me for an appointment and were so welcoming and lovely!

I have always been able to get an appointment and been seen quickly with little waiting around which is important when taking an anxious dog to the vets. The vet team have always been amazing! I have seen a few of the vets and each have been kind and efficient making my dogs feel more relaxed.

Even when having issues with insurance companies the team have been incredibly patient and helpful.

I cannot recommend highly enough!

My grown up daughter and I witnessed our beautiful 17 year old dog Leo being put to sleep recently at the vet on the hill practice. The whole procedure was appalling and Leo's last minutes were excruciatingly painful. No animal should ever have to experience this horror in the last minutes of their life. This practice does not sedate animals prior to euthanasia as a 'policy'. They also got the dose of the euthanasia wrong, and had to administer a second dose hence his suffering. He was also standing through the whole ghastly event. If you care about your animals well being avoid this practice. The owner should focus more on being a good vet than on his minor celebrity status.

Darling Leo, we are so sorry we didn't investigate this practice more thoroughly for your euthanasia. God bless you our Leo. Your Mummy X

Went to vet on Richmond Hill as my dog had eye infection. I was given antibiotic steroid eye drops when I paid I was charged £210.05 I questioned it as I thought it was expensive was told that was the price. The next day I called and spoke with a nice lady who quieried the price with her office manager. I've been given a refund of £131.06. Please if you're in any doubt please question the price.

They were absolutely brilliant today.

Very warm and welcoming. They were brilliant with me when my anxiety got the better of them. Scott was brilliant with my 2 and half year old dog Jasper.

Dr Scott is a really impressive vet.

Lida, Anna and the rest of the team were excellent treating my cat. They communicated really well, and were very flexible and thoughtful meeting his needs. Would strongly recommend.

Frustrating chain of mistakes with no commitment to improve for the well-being of patients who can’t speak for themselves. Behind the face of the brand is a lack of key process & communication. I implore you to avoid for the good of your pets.
