The receptionists Tracy (and another young girl) were both very friendly and Michelle the vet was really helpful with our rabbit explaining the recovery process after his neutering.
George is a rescue cat and a little nevous, and like all animals I suspect does not enjoy visits to the vet.
He got completely and horribly distressed in his carrier which resulted in a huge mess (literally).
The ladies at reception were absolutely lovely and quick to reassure us that everything was OK.
They took George to get him cleaned up and allowed me to do the same.
They didn't make us feel embarrassed or any worse than we already did - in fact they quickly turned things around.
The vet Astrid was lovely whilst examining George, very gentle and patient, calling him 'sweetheart' etc.
It's always wonderful when you can see that the vet has a genuine love for animals as this is not always the case.
Astrid further cleaned George and his carrier and put a fresh nappy liner in the crate before we left and dealt with us efficiently yet thoroughly during the visit so as not to prolong the visit and stress George for any longer than was absolutely necessary.
Prior to the visit, I spoke with the receptionist Linda who is also a lovely lady and was beyond helpful when it came to registering George as his paperwork wasn't completely straightforward.
A huge heartfelt thank you to you all.
George thinks you're purrfect!
Three weeks ago, my beautiful girl died.
She'd always been scared about going to the vets, because of one bad experience with a man in scrubs when she was very young. She did not like it there at all (not even this one!). But one vet here, Claire, was the exception. It confused my girl so much, because she didn't like anything vet-related- it was like her gut was telling her not to like Claire, but she liked her anyway, and she couldn't figure out what was going on.
My pup got really sick, and Claire was so, so, so good to her and to us humans. Claire spoke to us both kindly and honestly, there were no mixed messages or 'false hope'. I'm incredibly grateful for that. I needed the science of what was going on with my dog's body, and she gave it to me and answered all my questions fully which helped me a lot.
My dogs were, and still are, my whole heart- and Claire and all the staff knew that for sure, and they all cared about them a lot too.
I cannot recommend this practice enough, and I'll never be able to fully express how grateful I am, because it's so much that it's just simply impossible.
Again, thank you. A thousand thank yous.
