Medivet Cockfosters

Medivet Cockfosters take the best care of my two dogs. The staff are lovely and the vets are extremely thorough and caring.

I am always happy with the care and service I receive at this practice; they have looked after my dog since she was a puppy and are so kind and full of good advice. Highly recommended.

When I adopted my greyhound a year ago I faced a number of challenges re settling him into a new home - Lydia (vet) was always pleasant, approchable and supportative, as well as the rest of the team. I was given a number of tips and good advice.

Also the Korean vet (name not known)who administered my dogs vaccines, and her young colleague on Saturday 27 No 2021

Took my cat it as an emergency and the staff at medivet Cockfosters we’re amazing!! They tended to my cat like they would their own pet. My cat was completely at ease the whole way through the appointment. I would highly recommend this practice to any animal lover.

I have been taking my dog there for over 10 years and he is always excited to go. The staff always act in a professional and caring manner. Miss Alexandra Borges vet is wonderful with my dog Troy and myself always explained everything to you. I always feel very comfortable with everybody.

Livia has been absolutely wonderful in her care for Pye, right up to the end of his life - which she handled with the greatest compassion and sensitivity. We were able to spend time alone with him to say goodbye, and she made the process as comfortable and painless as possible for him. Could not ask for better service at a very difficult time.

First off let me say the staff that work here are excellent, their service brilliant, friendly and caring for the animals. Unfortunately the chain medivet is seemingly purely about money making.
My dog had issues with her Dew claws catching and snapping on the grass while playing causing her pain and bleeding on a regular basis. We decided to have a dew claw removal surgery and went to our vets to have this we were quoted £1400 + follow up appointment costs.
Thinking this was too much I did some research and phoned around other local vets. Eventually I went to another local vet in East Barnet. They charged me £480 for the same operation.
That is entirely unacceptable, Medivet are ripping off people to a ridiculous level! There are elderly/vulnerable people without Internet access that wouldn't realise the price that they are being charged is completely unreasonable and over inflated and just pay it.
I feel sorry for the hard working staff that work here and have to ask people to pay these outrageous prices.
