A wonderful vets. Always looked after our beautiful dog Babs with kindness and gentleness. They were always upfront about costs etc and really put things in the hands of the owners when it came to big decisions. When it was time to say goodbye to Babs last week they were wonderful and explained exactly what would happen, and gave us lots of time to say bye.

Why is it always late on a Friday night when a pet takes ill. Rang, gave information, appointment made immediately, given details and then confirmed in a text. Took cat in. Had a 15 minute wait as they were busy so no problem at all. Great vet, explained diagnosis and then given options and costs. Blood results back in 5 minutes. Injection given, on going advice and meds given. Excellent, pricey but essential to get our aging cat out of pain. Lovely vet and receptionist.

I chose Grove Lodge Vets few years ago for my cats purely because they have 24hr Emergency Hospital and the fact that my nearest branch is 5 mins away. On Sunday 7th Aug my cat came in very injured, he could barely stand on his hindlegs with a wound on one of the leg. As luck would have it I was due to go abroad that afternoon. Being a Sunday the only branch that was open was this emergency branch, upon calling the branch and reaching Vets Now who answered I was told that this practice is not accepting patients TODAY and was directed to Eastbourne which is their next available nearest branch to me, it's 1hr away. I did not physically had time to go to Eastbourne, see a vet and back again therefore (after exhausted ALL other options) I had no choice but to leave my injured cat with my cat sitter praying he will be ok until the next day.
I am extremely disappointed with Grove Lodge, the one time I needed the care and they did not come through. Aside from being an expensive private business, these people made an oath to care for animals but it seem they are offering something they just cannot fulfil.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I received a text stating that my puppy had his monthly medication to pick up. Due to work commitments I cannot collect so either my disabled mother or disabled aunt would pick these up, but on the last 3 they were told there was nothing to pick up and when I called up about it I was giving different excuses as to why this happened. This caused major inconvenience not only to me but also to the people collecting these tablets. I then made the decision to change vets due to this inconvenience and received a bill for the 12 month contract they stated wasn’t a contract. I explained that the service received was not good enough hence the switch, which stated in the T&Cs is allowed. Turns out that this isn’t as simple as stated. The surgery has no CCTV (unable to prove they made multiple trips on subsequent days), no calls are recorded (to evidence me advising this was a problem) and even no record kept of messages sent out to customers. All things they need to ‘investigate’ . They claim they have done nothing wrong and Amy Mulholland, ‘customer services manager’, needs a crash course is customer care. Very dismissive and laying all the blame on the customers when there is a clear failure at the surgery. ‘No one else has had this issue’ and other lines of rubbish being provided to move away from taking any blame. Fortunately my puppy never needed actual care there because if this is how they deal with the simple stuff I have no confidence in them when an issue arises. Please avoid or don’t complain because you won’t get it resolved.

Really friendly staff who provide a fantastic service. The vets always explain everything clearly so that you understand and so that there are no surprises. Very happy that we chose Grove Lodge for our vets

I recently had the hard decision to put our very elderly cat to sleep. She had diabetes and had been looked after by Lucy. When she become poorly it was Saturday afternoon. We took her to Grove Lodge at Broadwater and Nicholas was lovely. He was very kind and understanding. He supported our decision and gave us time to spend with Tigger. About a week later I got a lovely card with a packet of forget me not seeds

Whilst down visiting family we had a scare when our 5 month Pomeranian puppy Luna came in from the garden at 8:40pm on a Saturday and was swaying, falling over and bumping into things. Away from home and concerned about our tiny pup we drove 40 minutes over to Grove Lodge vets after multiple phone calls with more local vets. By the time we arrived Luna had already improved which was reassuring but she was still fully assessed by the nurse in triage followed by the vet himself. They were fantastic - so friendly and really helpful.

My dog isn’t registered at Grove Lodge but we had a chocolate emergency (whole chocolate orange from under then Christmas tree). It happened 15 minutes before the vet was due to leave, but she still said she would be happy to see us. We were seen so quickly and she explained all of the cost implications to me and took great care of Ozzie. The reception staff were lovely and really helpful. Would definitely recommend these vets to anyone and will come back in future if needed!
