Henley Vets (The Veterinary Centre)

If I could give this vet a 0 rating I would. I took my newly purchased bunny to them due to an upset stomach, they told me they were experienced with rabbits and gave me reasons for what they thought was wrong. They did not do a thorough examination, they did not test feccal samples, they did not give dietary advice.

My rabbit continued to suffer the problem so I took her back for four visits in three weeks. I was provided with the same experience - but I trusted them as they are supposed to be a great vet. My rabbit passed her parasite infection to her partner, my existing rabbit. He went into the vet and didn't come out - he died of a seizure in the vet three days later. They finally diagnosed the problem but too late.

With my new vet I know my first rabbit would have been diagnosed properly, plus if my second rabbit had fallen ill they would have been able to cure him.

This vet had all of the opportunity to diagnose the problem, and didn't. I was offered no apology for causing the death of one of my rabbits and seriously illness in the other.

If you care for your small animals DO NOT VISIT THIS VET.

I have been with Henley vets (and their branch in Twyford) for a long time now and have no intention whatsoever of changing. The staff are all amazing - welcoming, friendly and supportive - from the ladies on Reception right through to the Vets. I have always taken my cats and bunnies there and Helen Hanley in particular has been amazing with them. My bunny Harvey is unfortunately no longer with us but Helen went above and beyond ensuring that, despite all his medical issues, he had a long and happy life. I know all my fur babies will get excellent and empathic treatment at Henley vets and they also put up with me and my bunny obsession! They are all great!

My dog went to Henley vets just before Christmas for a repeat prescription. Helen checked him over and found he had an enlarged spleen. She took him in straight away & did an ultrasound scan & found he had a mass. He was booked in to have it removed the next day. All the staff there were so caring towards us & one of the receptionists even hugged me as she was leaving. My boy came home the day after his op and has been great ever since. While he was in they kept us informed how he was doing.
I cannot praise these vets highly enough & wish we had swapped to them sooner.

Excellent vet practice with friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, attentive and highly professional staff. I have been a customer here for over 10 years and I am always happy with the service I receive. Highly recommend.

We brought our longhaired chihuahua from Australia when we relocated to UK. After a few weeks here she needed her anal glands cleared. My sister recommended this vet so made an appointment. It was Covid total lockdown so had to wait in the car. A few minutes later, Sarah, the vet came to take Misty inside and brought her back when finished. Misty was as good as gold with Sarah..it was the best vet we have been to..and not expensive. Thank you Sarah.

Fantastic vets: caring, friendly and lots of knowledge. Our cats and dog have always been well looked after, often at short notice. Great service which keeps on improving, with app chats and online booking recently added.

We have been taking our pets to Fiona and Helen at Henley Vets for over 20 years, covering three house moves and at least the same number of generations of animals. We have always had the greatest and kindest of care from these lovely people, from when we bought our 8-week old bunnies for their first checkup to helping 11-year-old Edward with his final goodbye. These are real people who genuinely care for the animals in their charge, and we now wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Amazing service, staff is really friendly. They really care for the animals and are always very happy to help.
