The staff and young vets are very good and pleasant.
My cat requires a dose of liquid paraffin each day.
I last bought this £6.80 for 500ml before I left Wales last September.
I ordered another bottle from Ambivets was told £9.50 then £11.50.
When I called to take my cat, I picked up the paraffin it was only 100ml at £11.50
So Emerald Vets in Wales £6.80 Ambivet £57.50 internet £8.60 for 500ml
Am not pleased to be ROOKED off no explanation when I inquired was told " just company prices"
Very UNHAPPY at this type of service. I am a pensioner and on limited income, so make your own minds up!!!
I have a photo of the two bottles on my phone and the bill from them, so I can prove it.
Am moving to another vet whose charges are on a more reasonable scale

I would suggest getting a written quote. I was charged 285 for my dogs health certificate but told 250 when i booked it took 15 mins to complete paper work. after checking with the royal vet college they suggest 110.00 i phoned to register elsewhere and in future it will be 135.00. i also paid for a booster and health check which was 60.00. this consisted of checking alfies heart and asking me how he was. After complaining i was told i could not prove it. Easy to go elsewhere took 2 mins. I have been had!

First time visiting today, friendly staff and knowledgeable. Our 11 week old puppy was put at ease.

Very good vets. All Jacksons problems as few as they are are above and beyond. Absolutely brilliant staff from the vets to receptionists. Highly recommended

All the staff are wonderful and caring. My dog has a long term health condition that was spotted by the vets here. Every time we go in for blood tests or medication my dog gets treated like a VIP. A brilliant service and knowledgeable, friendly staff.

Absolutely disgusting service the two times I have visited this place with my parents puppy. The first time the receptionist was too busy eating chocolate digestives and playing on her phone to notice I was even at the counter. After waiting 45 minutes to be seen I asked the receptionist if it’s going to be much longer and the response I got was “We do have emergencies you know” in a brash tone. The second time we took her we were AGAIN waiting well after our appointment time. Our dog gets nervous in the vets which is understandable but after the visit into the vets room (which they wouldn’t let anyone go in with her) they bought her out only to embarrass my mum in the reception area by talking down to her and patronising her telling her our puppy needs extra training and she is vicious and that growling comes first and then biting. I found this VERY unprofessional when they could have taken us into a consultation room and spoke to us privately rather than doing it in a waiting area full of other customers. The worst bit about it was that other customers were stroking our little girl and compliment her. It’s safe to say we will be unregistering here and going elsewhere

Excellent service from a great professional team of staff. Would highly recommend this surgery.
