Ashfield House Veterinary Hospital, Long Eaton

I cannot recommend Ashfield House highly enough. Their sister site Byron is closer to me and handle our cats and dogs, while Maria at Long Eaton (and sometimes Bramcote or Spondon) deals with my rats, and I have never begrudged the extra distance as it's well worth the time and effort.

All their staff are warm, caring and professional, and very knowledgeable. They are dedicated to continuing their training while they work and seem to be constantly working toward new certifications across the team. They are accommodating and have always bent over backwards to ensure the best care possible for the vast number of animals we've had in the family over the last 30+ years; from dogs and cats, rats and chinchillas, all sorts of birds and reptiles. Veterinary care is an expensive thing, unfortunately, but I think their prices are more than reasonable, and we've always been able to agree payment plans when necessary, which has made all the difference to our pets.

Their facilities are excellent, and I've had enough occasion to use their emergency services over the years to sing their praises in that regard as well.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service my family (human and furry) and I have received over three decades, and you couldn't pay me to try another vets practice.

I had taken my cat Pipsqueak for her yearly booster. All the staff was amazing from the moment I walked in the building. From the smile I received from both receptionists,(even though one was on the phone.) to the vet who saw us.

The vet was very good. She explained everything that needed to know. But more importantly I did not feel rushed, she toke her time answering any questions I might have & even booked another appointment for my other cat so she can receive her full benefits under the gold club.

Ashfield House Vets have looked after all my animals right back to my childhood. I have always known them to be an outstanding vet. I could not recommend them enough.

Really disappointed in this vets after moving here only a short while ago I rang for some advise and was spoken to in a very inappropriate and rude manner. I’m not one to normally complain but felt this needed addressing. Well not sure why I bothered because the response I got back was clearly just a standard clearly not individualised to my concerns response. Would not go back here again.

It was our first visit to the vets, and it was a fantastic experience. The team made such a fuss over my doggy, it was wonderful. Can only recommend. Well done all.

We’ve been using this veterinary practice for years. They are friendly, responsive and have taken great care of our cats over the years. We would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a local vet.

When I have brought any of my 3 dogs up to see vet/nurse always been satisfied with service. Its unfortunate I cant bring them myself. Can always get someone to bring them for me. Failing that will get a.taxi and bring them myself

I have been using Ashfield Vets for over 10 years. They have supported me with general check ups for my dogs, to emergency out of hours appointments, to heartbreaking moments.
The staff are amazing, Emma Harrold and Jane Broughton on reception always go above and beyond to help me. The vets such as Charlotte and Ben are so knowledgeable and caring. Recently I have had the pleasure of dealing with Vet Emily who has been so informative, compassionate and helpful. Thank you Ashfield team.

I’ve been with ashfield since my dog was a was a puppy. Ben is very patient with our dogs temperament as he doesn’t really like the vets.
