Never a problem getting in to see some one.. Or arrange to pick up our fur babies flea treatment etc... Always polite and friendly and we have 3 cats and a stray I feed and try to care for when he wants to come around so try to make sure he's as healthy as possible...i have Used Ambivet for a few years now the pet plans are fantastic.... Very happy cats so a very happy me!

My dog has something wrong with her paws. Her beans and between them she’s got irritated red skin and she constantly wants to nibble at them. When we showed it to the vet and said that her paws are swollen the vet just roughly looked at them and said “oh yea, they do look swollen” and without further investigation into the 2 paws she prescribed us some tablets and a soak med without actually telling us what the real issue with her paws was. We were using the prescribed items until they finished and our dog didn’t get better, in fact, she got worse. Her hind paw started getting the irrigation around the outside of the paw. Since she was biting at her paws, we decided to buy a cone to prevent her from worsening her state yet even her leaving it alone while we used the prescribed scrub it didn’t help her.

Very expensive with virtually no information on insurance claims. I’ve had to chase constantly to find out the position and appear to be paying twice. The stereotype of vets rubbing their hands when a patient has insurance certainly seems to apply but unfortunately I’m struggling to find a replacement vet. Not a good situation

I have been going to this vets for over 15 years, always all the staff have been so helpful and understanding,
I have been seeing. Cathrine about my 15 year old cat Mildred on and off since the beginning of this year , She and all the staff are doing a great job
Cathrine always does a very thorough job looking after my Mildred and today made my day when she told me that there was nothing Nasty in Mildreds Scan. I was so relieved to know that as I have lost 2 cats to that horrible disease beginning with “C” one being my lovely girl Crumble who I lost on 31st August this year and then I seen a lovely vet called Jess!

Tried to use the online booking but old details blocked it all, like past pets and fact don't use a landline. Thought about ringing but later in the day, when you are worried over a pet you want to get things in place, and pets don't live forever, given probably last time I was there was to have a pet put to sleep , surely they should realise the pain it will all trigger. Used this vets since I lived in alfreton 17 yrs ago but maybe time to move on, think their online booking is quite flawed

I love the stuff here who seem to be genuine animal lovers. They are friendly professional and knowledgeable. I cannot speak more highly of them.

This practice killed my guinea pig due to being pure ignorant. I WILL NEVER forgive them for this. My guinea pig was swollen in his tummy, i took him in and the vet said there’s nothing wrong with him and he will be fine. An hour later he passed away. If i went to another vets he would still be alive. This practice has BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS. I am beyond disgusted. If i was the manager/ owner and the vet herself who did this i’d be so ASHAMED.

Ambivet do an amazing job of keeping my little boys happy and healthy. Lovely service and staff.
