My dog died due to the negligence of this vets. Not only did Swanspool misdiagnose what was wrong with my dog, they then overdosed him by prescribing a medicine at 30 times the correct dosage. My dog consequently started having seizures and had to be put to sleep. It was one of the worse days of my life. At this point you would think the practice would be very apologetic. Not at all. They had no choice but to admit they were wrong as it was all there in black and white, but all they were interested in is whether I owed them any money. Just shocking. And at one point the practice partner, Anna, spoke to me in a very cold condescending manner whilst I stood there absolutely sobbing. There was no sympathy or empathy at all. Just a very defensive attitude.
It was all reported to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, but it doesn’t bring my very much loved dog back. Reggie was a rescue, who had a terrible life before we rescued him. He did not deserve to have his life cut short by the people who were supposed to care for him.

We've used this vet practice for many years and the vets are always lovely. The nurses take excellent care of our dogs whenever they've had to be admitted. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We had to say good bye to our beautiful dog. They were so gentle and caring with her and with us. Their care throughout her life has been brilliant. Cant thank then enough

Myself and a friend took a stray who required euthanasia, the reception was cold and didn't want to see the poor animal until money was arranged. I understand it's a business, though personally I found the experience distressing and upsetting.
It is a well respected vet in the community and offers good service. I advise to register before you visit.

They may be good they may be dreadful...I don't know as I was unable to get past the gatekeeping of the snide receptionist.

I felt like the Balrog as Gandalf screamed "You shall not pass."

We had to have our beloved 15 year old Welsh Springer Spanial Dylan, put to rest 10 days ago. What could have been a traumatic experience, was in actual fact peaceful, and calm. This I put down to the wonderful, caring staff at Swanspool Veterinary Surgery. It's a time I will never forget, but for all the right reasons.
A big thank you to you all.

We sadly had to have our beloved 15yr old dog Lucy put to sleep last week. The staff there were so understanding & comforting to us, giving us time to say our goodbyes & leaving us with our girl after she had gone. It was late in the evening but we were not rushed in anyway. We collected her ashes this week & the staff were so good. We have used this vets for many years & I would recommend them to anyone.
