My cat was extremely unwell after feeding her Felix Jelly Sensations bought from home bargains. All our cats have been fed the felix range but this was a new product and resulted in both my cats being unwell. My 5 month old boy cat had diarea and my baby girl was constantly sick. My partners two boys were also unwell on this new felix product. It was unfortunate that being on ESA My money was extremely tight and I asked the PDSA in Cwmbran if they would see me but they said I didn't come under there post code. They gave me the number of there Blackwood pdsa branch who I did come under and they said that they couldn't see me even after my pleas for help. I then asked Abbey vets if they would help me as my baby girl kept falling over as she hadn't eaten nor drank anything for 24 hours which I was told to wait by pdsa and see if my baby female cat would improve. She never did. I noticed her lying on the carpet with her head slumped to one side with her eyes half open and her breathing quite shallow. I was in dispair. Abbey Vets saw her straight away and she was given two injections to stop her being sick and to help her recover. She also had a temperature. I was allowed to then take her home and to monitor her over night but if she didn't improve then to bring her straight back. She didn't get any better and was fallen all over the place. This was break g my heart as I thought she wouldn't make it through the night. Straight back to Abbey vets I went and she was hospitalised for the day. She was given a further injection and they emptied my baby girls bladder as she hadn't been to the toilet for a couple of days either. My baby girl is now safely back home and has truly perked up. Abbey Vets have given me another appointment if I need it in case my baby girl doesn't eat or drink tonight. I can honestly say I could see my cats life fading in front of my eyes and not one of these PDSA charity branches would help me. I could if lost my cat. PDSA is supposed to be for sick animals. Well they never helped me. If it wernt for Abbey vets then my baby cat wouldn't be here today. I am please to say that my male cat is also fine now and so are the two other male cats who also ate the new felix jelly sensations. Even when I contacted Felix directly on the phone about what had happened to our cats on there new product and of how I'll my cat was (on deaths doorstep) did they even offer to help my cat who had become unwell through there product. All they could say is we are sorry and will send you some vouchers. The vouchers wouldn't be any good if my cat had died. But I'm pleased to say thank you too Abbey vets for saving my cats life. I've now registered both my cats with this practise in Tredegar and would recommend others to do the same. This vet showed they truly do care about animals especially when so called animal charities turn away for my pleass of help who are supposed to support unwell pets. I am pleased to say that my baby girl is now running around and eating and drinking well after finishing her antibiotics from Abbey Vets. I am truly glad she's recovered.
I wasn't looking to make an appointment, it was an EMERGENCY. He could die.
Update; he died.
